Fall break

When does yours fall this year? Our is usually the first week of October, but they've pushed it back to the week of 10/21. Just curious as to when everyone else has theirs and his it will be effecting crowds. I'm expecting higher than usual this year!

In all honesty, we don't get a "fall break" down here in FL. So I really don't have any idea.

In the New England area there is no such thing as "fall break" the kids here don't get a full week off till Christmas. They get Columbus day,Veterans day and a couple of days off around Thanksgiving but that's about it.

Our area in Indiana is going to a balanced calendar, which schools get 2 weeks off every 9 wks. Our fall break is 10/7- 10/18. I am not sure about other areas. My family is going 10/14-10/25. We homeschool and love going in the fall. I am also curious how the crowds will be this time.

Balanced calendar here, too - but we have off 10/12- 10/27. We're doing a cruise on the Fantasy the second week!

We're in Kentucky and our fall break is the week of October 7th. Not every district has a fall break.

Ours is the week of Oct. 7 this year. We chose to (for the first time in years) not go during the fall because it keeps getting more crowded every year!

Each year I hear of more states adding a fall break. I know parts of Indiana have half a week this year and are adding a full week next year and they have never had one before.

I predict in the next two years October will be just as busy as the Easter/Spring Break season.

Never heard of fall break unless you are overseas where school is year-around.

I'm in Ontario, Canada. No fall break here, just a three day long weekend over Thanksgiving (Monday October 14th).

However this year our school board is making it a four day weekend with a PA day on Friday October 11th.

New Jersey doesn't have a fall break per say but the kids do get off the first Thursday and Friday in November every year for the Teacher's Convention. That week in Disney has been known to be called "Jersey Week".

Our fall break use to be the teachers convention when I was a kid so we always get 2 days off in october. They no longer have the teachers convention, but kept the 2 days off. Now they usually have parent teacher conferences the first 3 days and fall break the last 2 days of the week. Ours is the last week of October. We no longer get veterans day and columbus day off. That stopped about 20 years ago.

No fall break until Thanksgiving...in Ohio. Get a day off after PT at end Oct/beg Nov. That's it. Heck when I was little we never even had spring break!
