Glad you noticed. That would be good IMO.I just noticed there appears to be a gap for the Wonder Oct 13-18, 2026 while she’s in San Diego. Anyone know what that is? A DVC member cruise, maybe?
They seem to sell the concierge rooms. It's the rooms for us poor folks that end up getting discounted.Echo what others have said that Concierge pricing seems absurd. Our upcoming 5-night 2025 Dream sailing in Concierge would be 50% more expensive fast-forwarded one year to 2026. I know they've had rather robust Concierge demand but this will completely eliminate us from the pool of prospective Concierge customers.
Edit to add: Facebook groups seem to think the pricing shown is just for suites, that they haven’t loaded regular veranda concierge pricing yet. But even then, the pricing would be going up about 20% year-over-year.
Oh we’re not DVC members so couldn’t sail it anyway! But it happens to be over my daughter’s fall break so I was looking for cruises over those dates. Spring 2027 is likely better for our schedule so I’m not too fussed; just curious. But if it is for DVC and you can go, I hope you enjoy!Glad you noticed. That would be good IMO.
I think new cruisers look for new ships. When I look at other cruise lines I look at the newer ships because I'm not as familiar with the brand. Not saying variety is bad- just that I think the average cruiser in that scenario is going to chose the Destiny 9 outta 10 times. So I think of all the ships we will see the lowest prices and biggest discounts on the Dream- particularly in the lowest demand times.
You can't beat the closeness of the airport to ship in San Diego. It just makes it so easy. There's also so many hotels within walking distance of the ship. I'm happy about this. It's a one hour flight for me.It just doesn't make sense to port in San Diego and Long Beach. Logistics are much easier with just one or the other and they have chosen San Diego.
They use to sail from Miami too- but then they got a better port agreement at Port Everglades instead. I assume the same happened with San Diego & Long Beach.
Puerto PlataReally? What port?
over $4k for a family of four for a three night itinerary on a 15 year old ship!Dream is taking over Wish's place at PC at the end of April. Wish is definitely heading to Europe!
There is already a DVC member cruise on the Dream just a few weeks before that though.....this could be the TCM (Turner Classic movie) cruiseI just noticed there appears to be a gap for the Wonder Oct 13-18, 2026 while she’s in San Diego. Anyone know what that is? A DVC member cruise, maybe?
Yikes! I remember when I used to pay 3- 4k for a family of four on a 7 day cruise in a verandah on the Fantasy when it was a newer ship. It's not ancient history maybe 7-8 years ago. DCL should not be charging for 3rd and 4th passengers in the room if they want to compete with the other cruise lines.over $4k for a family of four for a three night itinerary on a 15 year old ship!
I wish them luck....
I think DCL is in major trouble long term personally....
For me it means I won't be cruising in Europe on DCL in 27.OK, so rumor has it the Wish is going to Europe in summer of 27 and looks like the Magic is going back to Alaska. The Dream is going to replace the Wish? Does that put the Fantasy in Galveston? Seems ridiculous to ask this far out but it actually does affect which cruise I pick in 26, I know crazy, but just go with me on it lol.
It would have to be a spectacular out of this world itinerary to get me on that ship....then of course the out of this world price would prevent me from booking it.Yep. No Transatlantic for me anymore. Looking at other options on other lines![]()
