Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

Disney has sent me the same "unique offer code" for a RO discount 8/26-11/22 and 11/26-12/23 3 times now haha. too bad my RO night on 11/25 isn't eligible

Me too! Although, today I tried adding it to my parents' reservation and it worked. I thought my name had to be on the reservation but maybe since our reservations are linked???

I'm hoping this means the rooms aren't booking up and better discounts will be released for after 11/5 next month :)

Yes, their code is working for you because they are going at the same time and your reservations are linked.

What would Dave Ramsey say?! ;)

I love me point cards. I use my rewards CC for everything and pay it off before interest accrues. It pays me a few hundred in rewards cash a year to do this. Free money!

I also opened a Disney visa before our last trip because I got $200 GC for the no fee card. Put my Disney trip on it, paid it off the next day from the savings. Made $230 for doing that and haven't used it since.

I opened an Amazon visa when I was making a big purchase (car seat - sheesh they are expensive!) and just by applying I got an $80 credit. I didn't even have to purchase the thing on that card and got the credit.

I know so many people who are anti credit card, and I get it. But if you can be responsible about them there really are some great perks to using them wisely :)

Did you receive the $200 offer for the no annual fee card via e-mail, direct mail, or elsewhere? I would definitely apply if I get that offer, but the best offer I've gotten so far is for $100, which isn't quite worthwhile to me just yet.

Snail mail last year - about a month after I booked the trip ironically haha :)

I snagged it when they offered $250! BUT that was with the fee. I have one more year left and we'll be changing to the no fee.

I also received the $200 offer for the no-fee Disney Visa via snail mail shortly after booking. Chase actually just sent me info for others to sign up for the $200 gift card offer on the no-fee card - just had a friend sign up with that who was waiting for a sign-up bonus!

Did you get the sign up bonus for friend Info through the mail? I checked my account today to see if I could find any info online and saw nothing there. Would love to try to have DH sign up and get that same deal this year

Yes, received them through US Mail, but I had received it via email from Chase a few days prior.

I had someone in one of my FB groups offer up their refer a friend code for the $200 gift card with no annual fee. I'm going to have my DH apply but I wish you could apply online with the refer a friend. I know he's going to be annoyed with me for making him call. He doesn't even like to call and order pizza :sad2: I just wish I could get the refer a friend card in the mail so I could get the $50 myself.

Chase sent me an online link - it's possible to apply online!

Thanks all!

We are the same way! We used our delta CCs to get ourselves so many bonus miles, 3 of our 4 flights were paid for without even charging on them, just bonus miles for signing up! The last flight we paid for with our Disney rewards dollars so our flights were FREE!!! Would've cost us more than $2,000 to get there otherwise!

We use our Disney visa for EVERYTHING month to month, we just look at it like a filter. We pay it off in full each month, but it has an entire months bills on it so we get rewards on everything. Last time we went to Disney was 2012. We haven't used rewards since then, we just let them grow, and now we are going to Disney in September with $2500 to spend!!! It's insane! That gives us the freedom to do some tours, and MNSSHP and BBB, without worrying about cost. It's such a nice bonus. Including free dining and our free flights, we have actually saved more on this vacation that we have paid!

Agreed, CC are the devil if you cant use them wisely and trust yourself to pay them off each month, but if you can be responsible about them, there's ALOT of great deals out there!
WOW!!!! That's an AMAZING bonus!!! Congrats!!!
