Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

Have Fun!!!! popcorn::

Thank you! We went to the movie. It was SO cute!!! We decided to go eat early tomorrow instead, as the mall and restaurant were packed!!! The Grapevine Mall is only 15 minutes from home on the freeway, which is much faster to get to than malls we have to travel through town to get to.

I have a question. With the Landry card, I understand you get priority seating. Does that mean if 10 families are waiting in line and don't have membership cards, were seated first?

I can't wait until the kids are done school to take them to this movie! I am glad you had a good time.:) I don't have a Landry's card (maybe someone with one can correct me if I am wrong) but I have read on the DIS that you are seated before people that are waiting if you have the card. By waiting until tomorrow now you have 2 days of fun instead of 1!

I've been out of pocket because I was moving, but I just caught up on the last 5 days or so's worth of posts. I had to comment on the credit cards. Is anybody else as excited as I am about Costco now accepting Visa??? I almost applied for the Costco MasterCard multiple times just to take advantage of all the money I spend there (it's my primary grocery store) but I didn't want to add another card. Now I don't have to! :cool1: I might cancel my current Visa and get a new one so I can get the bonus, but I really don't want more than a single Visa and my DiscoverCard (which I keep only because it was my first CC and really helps with my "oldest account" factor in my FICO.
Yes!!!! It isn't our primary store, but we were thinking we might switch over also! The extra points for gas could really get us some extra money!

Exactly!!! I hope you get to go to the movies with them soon! There's nothing better than a summer afternoon at the movies, seeing a Disney movie! We saw a preview for Pete's Dragon. It looks really good!!

Hello! I've been MIA because so much going on around here! Looks like all planning coming along good :) the other day I booked the Family Magic tour at MK. My kids are 8 and 6 and this sounds like a lot of fun. I also think I have dining in order. DH came along the other day and said he'd like to eat at Akershus again (really?? After I asked before our 180 day in early May???) anyways I was able to get a 315 time on out EPCOT afternoon/evening after I run the 10k that day :)
Yesterday had a little Disney Magic - got to the mall early and the kids were able to open our Disney Store then went to see Finding Dory - very cute movie!!

Extremely excited to announce a standard view room at CBR opened up last night and upgraded from all star sports :yay:

Saw the same, so struggling to decide if we should upgrade from Pop to CBR for ~$600 more. Our first time staying on site and we'll be there for 8 nights, but sooooo hard to decide since we will be at the parks most of the time and that's $600 I could use to spend elsewhere...:confused3

Hmm it was only $230 more to upgrade for us but maybe that's because we wanted the regular dining plan either way. But in your case I would say spend it on Mickey ears and souvenirs but up to you :)

Oh I would have done it in a heartbeat for less than $300! $600 I think I'll be passing and having a few more snacks and probably an extra meal or two OOP and still have money left haha. The $600 would include the upgrade from the QSDP to the Regular DDP since we upgraded with our stay at Pop anyways, so the money is simply a 'room upgrade' cost which doesn't make sense for us if I think we'll be there mostly to sleep. Would have been nice to be at CBR our first stay, but $600...think we will have to pass. :(

Sounds like you had a great day yesterday! I love all kinds of Disney magic. Congrats on being able to book your ADR at Akershus!!

In my opinion it would not be worth $600 upgrade. We stayed at CBR last year and it was nice, but it's a large resort (lots of bus stops and long walks to the food court). We stayed at POP our first three trips and are heading back this year. I hope you have a great trip! :)

We are there 9/18-9/22 decided to book last Friday. Trying to get ADR'S is crazy not much left.
