Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

I'm still checking multiple times a day too. I received a pin today and I'm so tempted to call, but I think I just need to keep what I already have and be happy that I got FD................Who am I kidding? I'll probably end up calling.

I've never gotten a pin. I would HAVE to call lol.

We are a family of 4 and not big eaters, do you know if we are allowed to share our Ts meals. Our plan is to eat at Sanaa for lunch and share a couple of curries between the four of us, then have a quick dinner at beaches and cream and share two burgers and the deserts. Is this going to be allowed? Kids are 12 and 14.

The German restaurant doesn't appeal to me either. But my DD 16 is in her second year of German and really wants to eat there. The pretzel rolls sound fantastic!!

I didn't know anything about WC, I think I need to check my reservations and fit that one in somewhere!

hi all - have been unofficially following this thread (and the one before, and the one before that....). i had yacht club booked with FD for dec '15. i had to cancel as the horrible state of the canadian dollar ate up any/all savings i would have seen from FD. :(

i was hoping to book it again this year but did not stay up till midnight. we are a family of 5 and like food options at epcot so i am stuck on yacht club, want 8 days, any dates eligible of the week before christmas. i found one room but it was preferred room. i really just want a standard room. it appears i am now stalking mydisneyexperience website.... hoping something pops up available....

off to research "PIN codes".... i see this referenced but not sure what they are.. and do i have one??? lol!

Is that more due to the food or the show? Looking at the menu I'm not sure the rest of my party would enjoy the selection. A vegan, someone with egg allergies, two kids.
The food was terrible. But I know I am in the minority there. But all 8 of us agreed and had to eat again later because it was gross. The show was fun, the kids love it.

I don't think you will get a standard at the YC or bc. I was booking as fd dropped and there was no availability of standards at either resort for all dates I looked at. In the week preceding the fd drop standard availability seemed to disappear for Contemp, YC and bc.

Happy Mother's Day!
Looking for opinion on strollers for our trip. Our last trip was just with my daughter, who was 3 at the time. We rented a stroller from Magic Strollers, which worked out great. Planning to rent from them again, but this time we have my son, who will be a week from his 3rd birthday, and my daughter who will be 6. What are your thoughts on a double stroller vs. a single? My daughter obviously doesn't ride in a stroller normally, but I know how much walking we will be doing. The double strollers seem so bulky, but do we just go with it so she does have a place to rest, and hold our stuff when she's not in it, or will I regret lugging it on the buses, etc.?

My 6yo rode in the double stroller we rented more than my 1.5yo. I went with the city mini and don't regret it at all. It was nice to Load them both in it and book it to our next destination without having to worry about stragglers or kids getting lost in the crowds. And my 6yo wouldn't be caught dead in a stroller at home but at Disney he was so glad to be able to rest his feet instead of doing all that walking. Yes it's bulky, but we didn't have any trouble on the busses and just had it all unloaded and ready to have kids hop out and fold as we walked on so we weren't holding anyone up. It was much less of a pain than I envisioned it.

We are going this fall with our now 7yo and 2.5yo and will be renting a double again without hesitation!

thanks for the input - i tried last weekend and *thought* i did get it.... it was about $6500 with 6 day park hoppers and room for 7 nights/8 days. i just didn't have my credit card handy or speak to DH so i thought, got it once, i can probably stumble across it again. now all can get it one week and only more expensive room. sigh. serves me right.

it was the same criteria i had booked last year. and cancelled. :(

i will keep trying anyway... who knows, right? if i DO get it, it might be some kinda sign that we just HAVE TO GO. fingers crossed...

Thank you. I'm not a pork eater, but knew I could eat enough salads and pretzel rolls to get by, but I think I'm happier not having to do that, or be the one to make the decision lol.

We have a double stroller, a BOB. It was wonderful. Huge so the grandmunchkins were very comfortable (even at 7 and 4 @/2. The basket held EVERYTHING! It fit through doors well. It was nice not to have a cranky 7 year old! When we went two years ago we brought a small umbrella stroller with a cover for the youngest. My older grandmunchkins did great, but I missed BOB, lol.

A double stroller will save your trip!! Read reviews on the types that are available to rent. How large the children can fit in it comfortably, the ability to push/turn the stroller, ease of folding/opening it. BOB was easy to push and maneuver.

Have a magical trip!

Don't give up I wanted to stay at the Polynesian Studio Villa and one finally opened up last wk.

I did my ADR'S today and got almost everything I wanted on the day I wanted at the time I wanted! I couldn't get tusker on saturday, Nov 5 for before 9 am. I could get it any other day of the trip but that one! Even on 11/4. I'm looking for 5 people which can be a little tricky. I'll just keep looking.

One other thing, I couldn't do the whole trip on the app. It doesn't recognize the 180+10 I guess. I used the website and it was actually working great.
