Me too! We will actually be there for DHs birthday but my birthday is a week and a half before his and our anniversary is a week before that and DH1s birthday is a week after....so we're celebrating it all! Hahaha August-September is non stop partying for us!

About birthdays --you also need to request a birthday greeting and a card when you check in. For DS birthday he got a birthday phone call from goofy and an autographed Mickey card and balloons (all free) on his 3rd birthday they even gave him a free small Mickey plush doll. I ask everytime were there for a special occasion. My mom even sent me a Snow White card and balloons to my room 10 years ago for my 25th birthday! Lol this year will be DH 39th birthday and he's totally getting the balloons and card too! Hahaha

I am having trouble deciding between 2 ADR's so I thought I would ask what everyone here likes the best. Biergarten or Whispering Canyon Cafe. Every time we have gone we have ADR's for both and end up switching them for something else. I really want to try one of them this trip but I can't decide! On our Epcot day my DD wants Akershus, so we could do that for breakfast and Biergarten for dinner. On one of our MK days we only have QS planned so we could take the boat to WL and go to WC. I am leaning towards WC because I've always wanted to check out WL. TIA for any suggestions! We are going Nov14-21, are there any Christmas decorations up at the Lodge yet?

WC for the food, Biergarten for the show. I lean towards WC, myself. And if you've never been to WL that will be a treat. It is my favorite resort.

We always cancel WCC for some reason so we've never been, but Biergarten is a must do! We love the show and atmosphere!!

We really enjoyed wc. WL seems to be one of the last decorated for christmas. Sometimes not until after thanksgiving.

While I've never been to Biergarten although it is on my bucket list, if it were between the two I would recommend WCC. The good is delicious, but I have heard the WL is B-E-A-UTIFUL during the holiday. So if that's the only reason you'll head to WL then that's my vote. If both is an option then I say both.

Does Biergarten have the show at lunchtime as well as dinner? We've never been and are thinking of going for lunch, for the Candlelight Processional, than having dinner at Coral Reef afterwards.

It's going to be my first time going to the Biergarten but from what my TA told me that there is a show during lunch time as well. Hopefully someone can confirm this soon!

I was last there in 2012, but at that time the show was going on pretty much continuously as long as the restaurant was open.

Thank you!!! I thought I knew exactly what I wanted in the way of dining reservations, but I seem to be over thinking this as I don't even have to decide for sure until next month lol.

It's going to be my first time going to the Biergarten but from what my TA told me that there is a show during lunch time as well. Hopefully someone can confirm this soon!

We had lunch there in December and stayed for two shows.

It's been 48 hours since I checked the Disney website to see if I could switch from CSR to POR....a record.

I think it's official. I've made peace with my resort and I'm happy to stay at CSR for the very first time.

I been checking about 3 times a day to see if I can upgrade up to a resort. I think its time for me to make peace as well lol!

Someone posted pictures on Facebook of their room at CBR and I was reminded of how much I loved our time there! So I started looking for 2 standard rooms at CBR instead of our suite at AoA... it's a lost cause, isn't it? And I need to stop because I REALLY want the microwave at AoA and my kids really want the splash pad! Ugh... but those CBR rooms (the BEDS especially) are so nice!

You could call and ask them to add a birthday celebration to your reservation and just ask for the button when you get there. A trip to Disney sure would make for a "sweet" sixteen birthday.

I just called the other day to have the CSR rep add notes about our 25th anniversary and DH's 55th birthday to our reservation. The rep was fabulous and a Disney fanatic like us; she also has an adult daughter two years older than mine. She said be sure to pick up the buttons and wear them, so special things might happen. She also made sure I had the dates and times for making ADRs and FP+ reservations.

My oldest DS is 9 and he is easily embarrassed too, LOL! MY DS 3 won't understand the fun but my DD6 is a ham and doesn't get embarrassed too easily! I am leaning towards WC because it looks like my kids might like the menu better. I think you will get an earlier time no problem around the 60 day mark.
