Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

We have a day where we are going to visit the monorail resorts to see the decorations. We are also going to AKR to see the decorations there. On one evening we are eating at Captains Grill so we will be able to see Yacht Club, Beach Club and Boardwalk.

Do they decorate Disney Springs also?? If I'm blessed enough to go this December it will more than likely be my last trip, so I don't want to miss anything!!! :)
I hope you are having a wonderful holiday and everything is okay!!! I think seeing the resort decorations on the monorail line sounds like so much fun! We usually go in November and Disney Springs is decorated already by then. I think it maybe one of the first places to get decorated.:)

Thank you CheweysMom, I appreciate that SO much!!!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!! I hope you are all safe and well and able to enjoy your day!!!!

I'm getting so excited! It's almost time to book ADR's!!!! I think I have the plan for what I want, now to actually book it all lol.

So, do you think I should go ahead and book a reservation at an Epcot restaurant, until the Candlelight Processional packages are released, or just wait? Also, since the packages include appetizers, do you order what you want off the menu, or is it a prix fixed menu?

I hope everyone's plans are coming along well!!
I think you'll be ok to wait. When you get ready to book your package, if you can't get what you want online, try calling. The Disney website list 407-939-1947 as the dining reservation number but you might also try 407-WDW-DINE. When we were there in 2011 we could order pretty much anything from the menu. Good luck with your ADR's!!!!!!

When we went in 2011 we happen to stumble upon Santa at Disney Springs. We only stood in line for a few minutes before the girls got to meet him. After discussing their list, the girls came running out and the oldest kept saying, "He's the real Santa! He's the real Santa! He knows my name!". I had to turn away to keep the kids from asking why I was crying. It was truly a magical moment for all of us. THIS is why I love Disney. Sending best wishes your way for a magical trip this year!!!!!!!:wizard: :genie: :wizard:

Does anyone know what time you can make your fast pass bookings, is it midnight on your 60 day date? Thanks

Thank you!! That's awesome, as we love visiting there and it will be fun to see it festive also!!!

Oh my goodness!! I can only imagine what a magical moment that was!! Just reading it made me tear up!!!! That's what's so special about Disney. Those moments can happen anytime and the memories last a lifetime!!! It's the little things!!!

Thank you for sharing this!! It made my day much brighter!!

Thank you!! I appreciate that!! We want to go to the first one of the evening, for the boys, so I'm hoping most people will want to go later. Also this gives us the chance to try Via Napoli after, lol. We are going to buy one large pizza to share, just for fun!! Also we will be a bit hungry by then I'm sure!

And it's 60 days from your check-in date, right? What do you think... will 61 days be good for "Frozen Ever After?" I sure hope so...

yes, 60 days from check in
we check in 3 days before FD starts up again, hoping that will give me some advantage and will be trying to book the Frozen FP+ for the last day of our trip and will start with that FP+. Could have done a split stay with 3 days RO and then 4 days with FD but am worried enough about the Frozen FP+ that I booked a package with an agency to be able to make FP+ 3 days before the "FD Crowd".

Yep, I'm the free dining crowd! We check in on 11/15 when FD starts for November. We're planning on doing Epcot the morning of 11/16, so I really hope we're able to snag a FP+ to Frozen Ever After! Out of every attraction in the park, I think it's #1 or #2 for us (my son is also excited for Enchanted Tales with Belle at MK).

Speaking of which, I have a question. We have a PPO at BOG on our MK day. After breakfast, I thought we'd wait for Enchanted Tales with Belle to do as soon as the park opens. Will they start that attraction right away, or wait for the crowds to reach New Fantasyland?

When we booked our package back in 2011, we had to dine before the show we wanted to see. I found this info on a website from last year....
For the 5pm show you need to book from 12:30-2:30, 6:45 show book from 3:30-4:15 and 8:15 show book from 4:20-5:45.
You will receive a badge at the restaurant when you arrive with your show time printed on it. You may want to walk over to the theater around 4pm to see what the line looks like. It can get long really quick. You will be guaranteed a seat, but it will just be further back. Enjoy the show and the pizza!!!!

I noticed that on the last day of our trip MK has morning EMH and I understand that only Tomorrowland and Fantasyland are open. With fewer rides open, how crowded is the park? I've always read to avoid parks with EMH's, but MK is listed as a good park to visit that day. We always end our trip at MK, but I just wanted to get an idea of what to expect since we have never done morning EMH's.

Thank you so much!!!!! :flower3:

I promised my grandmunchkins we would do our Candlelight Processional lunch at Coral Reef (which is the only restaurant they requested), but they are pizza friends and will love seeing a big pizza coming to the table for dinner! This one will be a surprise!!:yay:. Thanks so much!!!

So how are everyone's plans shaping up?! Good I hope! I haven't even started thinking about fast passes yet.:rolleyes1

Yeah, I'm still not over making my ADRs-FP aren't even on my radar right now. LOL

Quick question-if I have a BOG ressie at 9am and the park opens at 9-when should I get to the gate/when will they let me in? Thanks! I've never done an ADR like that, ours are usually lunch and supper. ;) I would love a quick pic of the family with a not too crowded Main Street/castle in the background.

I've read reports that the 9am are let in with normal crowds since the park opens 15-20 min early often after the welcome show. I'd keep searching for something earlier!

That, and eating at BOG during the first hour of valuable low crowd park time would be a bummer for me. If not getting the early in and jump on a ride before the park opens I don't personally think the breakfAst is worth it. The food was ok, but overpriced for sure!

Yeah, I'm not thrilled about the BOG breakfast. I was just cruising around the dining page, saw it and snagged it on the off chance we'd get in a little bit earlier. If not, I'll cancel it since I have a dinner ressie there that I really wanted! ;)

I loved it for getting into the park early, and getting great pictures on a mostly empty Main Street. It's a great experience if it's truly before the park opens!
