Fall 2012 Disney College Program Applicants

Oh my GOSH!! We kind of almost sound like the same person! Ha. Except I'm only 20. But yeah m choices were fairly the same, I posted my information too, at the end of this thread. But I too have been dancing for over half of my life and want Character Performer soooo bad! I can't wait to audition! :) I'm 5'2 though so hopefully princess or something! :) But I'm also very animated, love musical theatre, teachig kids, and just being silly. Also don't be nervous for your phone interview, it will be great! :) I was sooo nervous and there was no reason too. Ha. (I'm sure you've researched it a ton like I did) But the interviewer is extremely nice and personable. Just be yourself and smile!! :D
And they ask qeustions such as work pace, how you like to wor, where (like conditions), different things you've done'experienced in your workplace, etc. It's a little different for everyone. But you'll do great! Mine was this past Monday and I was VERRRRYYYY nervous, but pulled it off like it was nothing. Good luck and be confident! :D

Ah! Haha I had my phone interview this morning and I feel like it went really well :) I can't wait to hear back! I'm auditioning in albany on March 19th :) the lady was super nice on the phone, so i'm hoping it went well! let me know when you find out! :) you can find me on facebook, my name is Christina Michelle and I go to SUNY Cortland :) (they wouldn't let me post my email address! haha)

Have any of you started blogging about your experience? I've been reading cp blogs like crazy to help distract me from the waiting game, but I'm tired of reading outdated ones. If its in your sig, then I'm checking it out already, but I'd love to get some new ones!

I love everyone's enthusiasm!!! I was so nervous during my interview that I think I didn't show as much as I could have. But she did laugh a couple of times at a couple of answers I gave (in a good way ;))

Hello :)

I'm applying for Fall 2012 (decided as of yesterday XD). I've been going back and forth about it for about three years now. A combination of one of my best friends getting accepted for Spring 2012, and talking to some of the crew members on Disney Cruise Line who started their Disney careers in the CP, I have been convinced to give it a shot. Also the fact that it will buy me an extra semester to decide if I want to go to university or not is a plus (I'm about to finish my associate's in Audio Production at a community college).

I will also be turning 21 during the program (September 18th).

Top Choices:
Attractions
Merchandise
Main Entrance Operations
Custodial
Character Performer (I'm 97% sure I'd never get it though)

I'd probably take any roll, but if I get stuck in QSFB I will be really sad (I worked in food service jobs through most of high school and hated every second of it).

Sorry if this was kind of long XD

Yeah I'm hoping for Character Performer!!! Can't wait until auditions. :))) Have you had your interviews yet? My phone one was just on the 30th and now I'm waiting for my reply!! I'm so anxious I can't stand it! AAHHH.
But that's funny because I'll be turning 21 during the program too. :) My birhtday is Sep. 11th.

Hey guys! My name's Allison and I'll be twenty throughout the program. Its my first time applying and I am freaking out about the applications being posted tomorrow. I'm really excited though, I've wanted to do this for literally as long as I can remember.

My top choices are character performer, ride attendant, and merchandise. Possibly something with the resorts, but I haven't decided yet.

It's my first time applying too and I just had my phone interview this past Monday, Jan. 30th. How's your process going? And I too would loooove character performer. I've danced allll my life and love kids, I work as a dance instructor for ages 3 and up and at a daycare (infants-5yrs). So hopefully that works out, but if not Character attendant of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique would work too. But how's your process going?

Just applied!!! And my bf is applying as I type! :D

My name's Jackie. I'm a senior at Purdue Calumet, graduating in May. I'm so excited right now, I don't know if I'll be able to sleep!

My top roles are: 1) Character performer, 2) BBB, 3) merch, 4) character attendant, 5) photopass photographer.

Does anyone happen to know about how many people they accept each semester? I hope we all get in! (Also, go Team Starkid!)

AWESOME!! I want Character Performer toooo!! :) Can't wait for auditions. So how's your process coming? My phone intervie was the 30th so I'm anxiosuly awaiting a reply. They said within the next two weeks, soooooo. we'll see.

I've been doing the same thing!! Ha. But I want to start a video blog I jst don't have a laptop with a camera. :/ But yes, this waiting game sucks. I mean my phone interview was just this past Monday, but still. It's awful and heart wrenching.

Great I'm glad to hear ittt!!! I really hope you make it!! And yes, I'll look you up on FBook right now!!! I'll message you to say who it is. My name is Sara Quinn so yeah. :) And yeah my audition is March 17th in Nashville, TN. I'm so excited too!!! :)
Yeah now the waiting game begins....I've been hating it and its only been since Monday. :)

Hello everyone! I think I posted in this tread earlier, I can't remember. I've been all over the internet reading differnt things about the program.

I had my phone interview last Thursday and am anxiously awaiting the results. I really really can not wait to find out if I made it into the program.

Just thought I would share my excitement. I'm constantly checking the dashboard thinking it will update every 10 minutes.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Amanda

Oh my gosh! I'm the same way, my phone interview was this past Monday the 30th and I check my email/dashboard about evry other hour. Haha. I can't wait either. SOOOO ANXIOUS! #hatethiswaitinggame

My phone interview is tonight and the nerves that have been reserved for a few days are now starting to kick in! I'm so excited! Wish me luck! (:

My interview is in 30 minutes and even though I feel confident, I also feel like I'm going to vom. I was sitting here doing nothing but I couldn't stand the nothing-ness so I had to get on the laptop and just fiddle around until 15-20 minutes before things get rolling!

Done :) I think it went well, but it was sort of strange. I was expecting to be asked more questions about roles I had selected, but I only got one role-specific question. Everything else was about previous job experience, living with roommates, etc. I posted about it on my blog.

I had a very short, 12 minute phone interview. It was very nice and to the point. I was barely asked any questions about my role choices. The questions were mostly about myself and past work experience. I hope I did well, though the interview's short length tells me otherwise. Anyways, here's to hoping! *crosses fingers* And now I play the waiting game. (:

Good Luck everyone in your processes!

I wish you both luck! When I was interviewed, she asked me why I chose my three roles (front desk, guest services and vacation planner) and asked specifically why I thought my experience and schooling would help in the front desk role. Plus she asked several questions about housing (any experience living in a dorm or with strangers) and I just asked if raising 5 kids and their multiple friends hanging out over the years counted - she laughed and said I suppose so :rotfl2: We talked for almost 25 mins - she kept looking into the housing at Disneyland complex where I applied and told me they have studios and told me to request one if I wished on my acceptance email. :confused3

It's tough playing the waiting game but will be so worth it when we are all accepted :cheer2:

My daughter's interview was short like that too. She made it in...is at Disney World right now...checked in on the 9th of Jan. I wish you the best of luck!!! :goodvibes

So, I wish there had been a date closer to my web based interview to have my phone interview. This wait to interview is killing me! To pass the time I have read every blog, every discussion board, and watched every youtube video that has anything to do with the college program.
I decided to start a Vlog on my experience- I can't post links yet, but my name is ALLIWDWCP and the video is Alli's Disney College Program VLog #1
Follow me, share advice- whatever you wanna do lol. Im going to start a blog too. When I get a chance :)

Best of luck to everyone!

ohmigosh, you are telling me! hi all! :] i applied last sunday and then had my online interview that evening and my phone interview isn't until monday morning. i have been about ready to pop since sunday! haha i graduate in may and am in school for theatre. i applied in florida and cali, but i am really hoping to be the hostess at the bippity boppity boutique. that, a character attendant or a ride operator.

Hi my name is Canada. I'm so excited to have found this forum!! I applied on the 24th and was offered a phone interview by the 26th. Unfortunately, the earliest date was Feb 3rd. I thought that was a saturday and ended up being at work when she called! Thankfully, she called back TWICE. I finally answered and she was super nice and offered to reschedule for wednesday. Now I have to wait even longer. And now the wait is agonizing. I have been reading every forum and watching every video and can't believe I found something so recent. Usually everything is like from four years ago. This is my dream, to work for Disney. If I don't get in I might die! haha. Anyways, I'm also planning on going to the audition is San Francisco on March 18 if I get accepted.

My top 3:
1) character performer
2) BBB
3) attractions

Oh and i applied to both the program in California and the one in Florida. Do you think that helps my chances?
