Fall 2012 AP Rates- is anyone else waiting?

As an AP holder I'm beginning to think we are the unloved stepchild. Still waiting for discounts for August and September when FD had been released for Disney Visa holders for the remainder of the year. Just feeling a bit neglected.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous that Disney has been issuing GP discounts, etc prior to AP discounts - some say it's a benefit not a requirement however my annual pass renewal card specifically states "resort discount".

Based on this latest trend I'm considering not renewing for next year. Which makes me very sad as I love WDW We booked a bounce back offer for October but after that my pass expires so I'll really have to consider whether or not it makes sense to renew.

I use my countdown date as a guide, and it's never gotten past 45 day point before. This is really late for release of late summer/early fall AP discounts.

One May it got right to the 45 day mark (like 49 days), just a few years ago. I remember because I had booked the first week of May using a GP code and was getting really antsy because I had booked a pkg with the DDP and one day park tickets and wanted to drop those one day park tickets when the AP discounts came out. The AP discounts came out like on Wed or Thurs and Mon would have been my 45 day mark to be able to make changes without a fee.


I currently have room only bounceback deals booked for Sept 1st-8th and Oct 27th-Nov 3rd. I'm hoping for an AP discount for both that will beat what I have right now. I also need to add a day to the Oct/Nov trip (the bounceback did not include Nov 4th that I also need). I really wish they'd open up the AP discounts for the rest of the year.

Just thought I'd let everyone know I called Disney this morning and they said their computer systems were down for a "scheduled update". Now, this could mean anything (Including a non-scheduled crash) but I'd like to take it as a good sign that they are updating inventory and putting in some new discounts!!!!

Would be nice, but I'm thinking it will maybe be Thursday....
Most likely if they are updating the computers it is to release the FD promo to the GP.

I'm hoping for tomorrow, the 2013 rates are released tomorrow so that explains the scheduled down time, and would make sense to only do that once to roll out everything coming in the next few days. I'm gonna call in a bit and see if I can get any additional info I'll report back with what I find...come on Wednesday! ::rolls dice::

Unfortunately this is more likely to be an emergency fix to the actual system. (No one *schedules* updates
During the work day.) Data loads are supposed to happen around 5am. Though they are often late, a data load should not actually bring down the system.

Yeah....I just called to add a day to our current October reservation and asked if there were any AP discounts yet and the CM said Thursday. Let's all hope!!!!

speaking of AP rates, I haven't booked an AP rate in a while. Can I still book two rooms and do the two rooms have to be the exact same dates? Thanks for you help.

Oh boy, calling on thursday is going to be a nightmare with the release of free dining! Either way I can't wait, is it Thursday yet??

If it is Thursday- can we book AP rates online? I always do it on the phone and have never tried to do it online.
