Fall 2012 AP Rates- is anyone else waiting?

Now that they have them through December 24, I need Feb 1-4 since we'll be using DVC points for our December trip. The wait continues:( COngrats to all who can now book! I hope you get the deal you want:)

LOL I plan to go in January as well, so I'll wait with you!

Speaking of January - with school schedules the only time I can take the kids is over the MLK weekend- I know it will be busy - but has anyone been there that weekend that can compare it to other holiday weekends? We've gone during Spring Break & that was pretty busy - is it worse than that?

Okay well we kept GF Theme Park View and are paying rack rate for them since no discounts. For our stay at AKL we changed from Savannah view to pool view :sad1: and are saving $629... Then we will just hope for some pixie dust to put us back in savannah view.

Can someone post the details and the code for those of us without access to the AP site? I don't see it on the main site.

There is no "code" for AP discount, it can only be booked by calling or online thru the Passholder site...here's the info...

Was able to get more off of my Pop reservation for December. Looks like it was another 5% from the GP offer.

There is no "code" for AP discount, it can only be booked by calling or online thru the Passholder site.

The booking code is actually Q5M. When you call and tell them you have an AP rate, this is the code it will be booked under. You can book whether or not you already have an AP as long as you have one by check-in. Once you arrive, you can show it to them, IF they ask for it. They have only asked me once to show mine in over 10 years and that's because it was a trainee at CSR being taught by a CM on how to do a guest check-in.

Thanks for the heads up this morning. I called at 7am and got an additional $400 off. I saved $1300 yesterday so that's $1700 total. Yay!

The AKV 2 BDR discount was the same as GP for my Dec dates. But my BWV Studio and 1BDR both had a better AP rate. I'm so glad I was able to swap my 2BDR for a 1BDR and a Studio yesterday. I did notice that someone snatched up the 2BDR last night, even at rack rate. I'm just really surprised that there are Studios left at this point. But super happy that it saved me a ton. :)

Hope everyone else gets what they are looking for.

AP discounts have always beaten my bounceback deals up until this year.:confused3

Looking at the patterns this year, I think my current bounceback deal at POFQ is probably going to beat the AP discount anyway (if the AP discount is even available for POFQ).

Me too. Considering what they have been this entire year so far, I would not expect the AP discounts to be much better than the GP discount, however. I know I have not found a single time this whole year when they've beaten the Bouncebacks I already have booked. That's unusual. I usually book the bouncebacks just to make sure I have something booked, but then the AP discounts always beat them, so I switch when the AP discounts come out.:confused3

Well I was right. Once again the AP discounts did not beat the bounceback I already had. No rooms are even available at PORS. POFQ is $1371.00 (compared to the $955.25 I currently have with the bounceback). CBR is $966.00 and CSR is $993.00. Oh well, it looks like I'll keep the bounceback for the third time this year. AP discounts used to always beat the bouncebacks I booked, but not this year.

We were able to apply the general discount to our 3 nights at Pop, 10/14-10/17. Our total went from $337.50 to $270, a savings of $67.50.

We are happy with this, but hopefully FL Res & AP rates are even better!

It looks like you got a 20% discount -- I'm coming in just a few days before you, but I only got 15%! So I'm waiting for the AP rates as well.

ETA -- I didn't read through the end of the thread! I'll have to call and see if I can get an additional % off. Thanks!

Called this morning and switched my 10/20-10/28 @ ASMo for $909 to ASMu same dates for $721. So a savings of $188. We are happy with the switch as I was planning to eat at their food court anyway.

How far ahead do BBs usually run? We've never done a bounceback but we'll be there in Dec and we know we'll be going back in Oct. With the lack of availability and discounts for Oct the past couple years I would love to lock in a bounce back.

We were at the Poly in January this year and the BB was for the entire year, but had blackout dates. We were able to use the BB for our June trip, but our Oct. dates were blacked out.

I was already booked for por, they said could not apply discount. it's full. We had the new royal room booked because we are going for our anniversary. I don't know what to do now.......

Thanks for the info.I'm flexible on dates. We just want to go during F&W. So crossing our fingers that there's a bounce back for something other than FD. :)

I saved 823.00 off the rack rate! I am so very happy this morning and I am so happy this wait is finally over! This is probably my one and only chance to do this sort of trip and I am so excited it all worked out. Congrats to every one who got the rate they were looking for and keep checking to those who didn't!

Good to know! I always book online so I never use a code, or see one, so I assumed there wasn't one!

Was able to get a garden room at the YC for the last 3 nights of our stay so I am pretty happy with that...and the first 7 nights we are at the POFQ so overall we did very very well!

The AP discount for POFQ in Oct was just 5% so the AAA rate was much better.

As I suspected, there's no discount for my dates (10/23-28). Same problem as the GP discount yesterday. Even if I just did 10-25-28, I'd have to switch to YC CL, since there are no discounts for BWI CL.

I can't even check the AP website myself, since my Premier AP # doesn't work to activate the WDW AP site (works fine on the DL AP site). This whole situation is really upsetting.

Looks like we're going with the Dolphin.

I got Boardwalk Villa Studio for $266 per night in mid Oct. CM checked all the Epcot resorts and it was the only resort/room available. Also checked CR & BLT and there was nothing. AK had availability in studios and 1 bdrm, with the 1 bdrm std being $386.75/night and studio being more at $470.25/night!

SO happy to finally have a room booked! Now to work on our ADRs, I've never been this late booking dining...
