Fall 2007 College Program

So glad that you guys decided to start talking again. I just interviewed today so I guess I should expect to wait at least three weeks huh? What did you put for the roles you would like to do? I picked operations and vacation planner.

Awesome!!! By the way, I had to take fall because they only let certain people get in on the fall quarter. I couldn't do the fall advantage because my kids don't get out of school until early June. That is when I will be moving down there permanently with my family. Is there really a difference between fall and fall advantage other than an extended time period? Look forward to meeting all of you.

hey

I also interviewed on the 7th..I have a really hard time with waiting lol so this is going to be the longest 3 weeks of my life.

Oh well..what can ya do!?:)

Well it's been about a week since anyone has posted anything. I assume this means that everyone is still waiting? How about you all that interviewed in January. I only interviewed eight days ago so I know that I have at least another week or more. Well good luck to you all.

Hey all. First post, lurking for a little while though. I just discovered the program last week and had my interview today. I think it went really well. I had Danette in case anyone was wondering. I'm going for Fall Advantage I believe.

Anyone got in yet? I'm hoping to meet a bunch of people on here before I go down (if I get in) so I feel like I know people, lol.

Can you apply for the fall 2007 program if you graduate from college May 2007?:donald: :mickeyjum :sulley: :tigger:

Yes!!!! The only requirement is that you are at least a half-time student at the time you apply. Very nice to meet you. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Yup - in fact, that is actually what I am doing. As long as you are enrolled in school when you apply for the program (what zada82 said).

Yup, still waiting. I interviewed on January 26th, and today is actually the 3-week mark (my interviewer told me that I would be hearing back in about 3 weeks). BUT....since I am planning to audition for a Character Performer role, I need to attend an audition (dates TBA), so I will not get a letter until after the audition.

Who are you going to audition for?

I believe the auditions are general - what I mean by that is, you just go there, audition, and they place you into a character according to your height and their need. I would be happy being anybody.

I have also been reading around, and I hear that they measure up or down according to what they need. I am 5'1"....so I hope they measure me down. ;)

My WDWCP support recruiter told me that the dates and locations for the auditions should be up late next week (!!). :woohoo:

I applied today for CP and am going to the presentation next week!!! I am so excited!!! I am 21 from Pittsburgh and have been to disneyworld about 16 times!!! I want to be a charater so bad!! I would give anything! Does anyone know how the auditions go and how much experience you need? I'm 5'5/5'6 so i don't even know if there is a character for me! Can anyone give helpful hints or tips for the interview next week? Thanks!! Hope to see you All in Florida in Fall!!! :earsboy:

I have not been to an audition yet. From what my interviewer told me, they call the first part of the audition a "short movement exercise," not a dance - because it doesn't require any prior experience.

I believe there are characters in every height range? However, it says on the WDWCP website that "special consideration will be given to Disney Animated Character "look-alikes" and individuals 4' 8" - 5' and 6' - 6' 3"."

I posted some interview tips on the College Program Questions thread. Good luck on your interview!

Hey all!!! I received an e-mail today from the college program. It gave me the name of the person I should contact for questions and several other phone numbers to contact for other reasons. It also asked me to fill out a survey about my interview experience. The questions were pretty general. It did not say that I have been offered a position or anything but that I am still in the process. I just wanted to mention the e-mail because I wanted to know if everyone else received one. Well, good luck to all of those who are waiting for the auditions. I can't wait to see you charming the fans (I'm one of them).

zada82, I interviewed on January 26th and got that same email on February 8th. :)

well, I interviewed on Feb 8th. And guess what?? I got my acceptance letter today!! Only a week after interviewing! My girl was on the ball I guess!! I am very excited! I am in Operations!!
