Falafel/Hummus reviews from native Middle Easterners?

Any Germans on here? Or people raised amongst German food?

I'm curious to know their take on the Biergarten's cuisine.

I lived in Germany for a year and I'm of German descent. I think the Biergarten is very good--although their sauer kraut is not as good as my mom's. ;) Wurst salat is my favorite and usually I have to make it myself so it's nice to have someone else make it for a change. :thumbsup2

To the OP: I eat a lot of Middle Eastern food--my father learned to cook it from a friend's mother who was Middle Eastern. The hummus at the Tangierine Cafe is a little too bland for my taste. The tabbuleh is great. I'm not a fan of falafel so, I'm no help there.

My parents are German, so I grew up with that kind of cuisine. I ate there years ago, and found it so-so.
But we tried it again last October, and it was much improved, and pretty close to authentic. Our server told us they had a new chef on board.

I don't get what the difference is if a review comes from an actual Middle Eastern person or not, or that the people giving the reviews aren't Middle Eastern, since I know not every poster posts pics of themselves or add what race they are to their reviews.

I don't see how it's at all different from someone asking an Italian for their opinion of Tutto Italia, or a German their thought on Biergarten. Such people would probably have more exposure to authentic regional cuisine, and could therefore give a more detailed, specific review of particular food styles, spices, etc. Not just 'the hummus had some kick', but 'a blend of cumin and tahini really added to the richness, kinda in the Lebanese style' or whatever. I completely made all that up and have no idea if anyone puts cumin in hummus, let alone the Lebanese. ;)
