Fake Brake Syndrome

Me too, oh man, and the fake gas pedal.

Actually the fake gas pedal gets restrained usage. I use it with my x-fil, but then I remember I don't want him driving any faster, cause he can't drive.

LMAO sounds like some of you need a driver's training car with the chicken pedal over in the passenger side for the instructor.

Do any of you use the Arm of Restraint to save your front seat passengers? I throw my arm out in their general direction anytime I feel we are going to stop quickly. Because, of course, my arm is so strong that it would work better than the airbag, don't you know???

I don't do this very often, but my mom STILL does this with me(and my kids). I used to laugh at her when I was younger. Now that I have my own kids though, I completely understand it.

I do the same thing to my daughter!!! :rotfl2: She says to me, "Mom, I'm not 4 any more!!! your arm is NOT going to help!!"

it's just a reflex! :moped:

We were going to the beach yesterday and stopped at the gas station to get some ice for the cooler. I was pulling into the parking spots and a woman in the car next to the spot I was pulling into starts pulling out when I am directly behind her car, slam on the brakes. She stops I start going again to the parking spot and she starts pulling forward and over so she would have been driving through the lines for all the parking spots so I slam on the brakes again to avoid a collision. DH gives me this "what in the heck are you doing" look. I just tell him (he wasn't even looking to see what was going on) what the lady was doing. She had the nerve to give ME a nasty look when SHE was clearly in the wrong. She cut someone else off leaving the parking lot too.

Ah, yes, I'm also the mother of a new driver and I use the fake brake pedal. :lmao:

I refuse to do it because my grandmother used to do it all the time, no matter who was driving. I'm not sure she even realized she was doing it herself; it'd become such a habit for her. :)
