I just can't seem to see this as a savings? I was quoted way way more for a night stay (with one night free!) and it still came out to more than if I just used a 'code discount' for room only and bought 4 day park hoppers! I was quoted $2480.27 for 5 night stay with passes - if I used a regular code for room only that would be $230/nt plus 4-4 day park hoppers - comes to around $2000! Their pkg is about $500 more - now grant you this is for more than just the 4 parks but we don't usually do anything other than the 4 parks. This is not computing with me - Is this a good deal?! I would just like a code discount to use for room only if they come out. Thanks! I was never good in math!

Fariy Tale is only a really good discount on the 7 day plan. You just are not staying long enough.

However, I will give Disney credit. What I see on these boards is people are extending their stay and even upgrading their resort based on this package. That means less money spent at SW, Universal etc....

The real value in this package is getting 3 nights free when you stay for 7 nights. 1 free night is not enough to offset paying full price for the other 4! So no, it's not you. It's the way the package is designed. If you can only stay 5 nights, code rate + hoppers is better. If there are code rates for your time frame, that is.

Think about it this way. If you stay 5 nights & pay full price for the first 4, you are paying 4/5 of the rack rate for each of the 5 nights. That gives you about a 20% discount.

If you stay the full week, you buy 4 and get 3 free. You are only paying 4/7 of the rack rate for each night. This is about a 43% discount. Big difference!

Note that you will pay the same total for stays of 4,5,6 or 7 nights.

Well it worked out well for us because we're going for 7 nights. Originally I have CBR booked for 7 nights room only and it was almost $1200. Then we would have bought to adult AP's that would have been $754. That would have made it about $1954.00. We now are staying at WL for 7 nights and it's only $1498.00 (approx). So we're saving about $450 - and that's money we now can spend of souvenirs and food! So, it is a savings in some cases.....when I looked into a long weekend in October, it was NOT a savings at all. So if we go in Oct. I'm booking room only and buying 2 4 day hoppers and only useing 3 days of them. It may cost a little more in the long run, but our October weekend is NOT definite and we really wanted to be able to swing a deluxe for this summer.

When I read the details on this package on the DC site - it states that it is for a 7 day vacation - pay for 4 but get 7. IKf you stay any less days you are not getting the discounted savings.....

we booked the fantasy package for YC in september, but we're still going to watch for codes since we already have APs. It stinks that they don't have it in such a way that you can get the deep discounts without getting tickets...we figure if the fantasy package discount stays the lowest, at least we won't have to buy tickets for the water parks...or PI...

We changed our reservations tonight-we upgraded from All-Star Movies to the Coronado Springs.

7 nights at rack rate at CS (2 water view rooms) is $2481.99 WITHOUT passes or tickets.
7 night Fantasy Package w/the discount (tomorrow) should be $2580.39 which includes tickets....essentially I'm getting 6 UPH tickets (for the 6 of us) for $98.40!
