I won't need the PIN to buy things in shops at WDW like here will I?

I can't remember my PIN at all. I don't plan on withdrawing from a ATM machine with my fairfx card so hoping I don't need it.

no you sign for things out there, we only needed the pin to draw money from the atm

I'm really considering getting one of these cards, I'm thinking that it will help me to save specifically for spending money as well as I will load bits and bobs onto it from now until October 2010

We love having the cards. We have one each and it is great as we didnt find anywhere where you couldnt use it. In fact we used Disney's office internet to check our balances and whilst we were away were also able to transfer money onto it when we were paid You know what you are paying and dont have any surprises when you return in your bank account.

That's how I used mine - if I had any spare money in my bank account at the end of each month I would transfer it over to my Fairfx card and build up a bit of spending money.

Can I ask though what security do you have if you get out there (usa) and the card doesn't work or if perhaps their company has went into administration?

Apologies if this sounds silly I'm just a bit scared to try this without further information. I do realise FairFx are affiliated with Newcastle Building Society but I don't see any mention of the FairFx card on NBS website.

You can test the card in a UK ATM before you go (change your PIN or something like that). If the company goes into administration your money should be relatively safe as it is kept in a separate 'client account'.

Having said all that it is always advisable to have a couple of sources of funds with you 'just in case'.
