I just received a call this morning from Fairfield offering lots of gifts if i buy a timeshare pkg tour to orlando. I told the guy I was not interested, that Fairfield is Very high pressure and was not looking to buy. He said they are not, and when i replied that I have been there and in fact they ARE VERY high pressure he just said whatever, which I consider is very unrespectful especially when They call me. That's not way no treat a possible customer. So can you share your experiences with Fairfield Time share tours. How was it? :scratchin :confused3

I felt they are pretty high pressure. The one I did, they put me up in a nasty Ramada & gave me a coupla Universal tickets, big deal, I am already a AP Holder @ Universal anyway, was getting the tickets for my sis & bil.

My story:

At the beginning, I was taken in for a group presentation with a room full of people. They talk about how wonderful the company is, sing the company song, blah, blah, blah. Then I was taken on a shuttle bus over to one of their properties that they were still selling. Tour you around & you get back on the shuttle & pressure you more face to face while you are stuck on the bus. Then my sales woman said we would go back & talk more. This was after almost 2 hours of a presentation. Now mind you, since they have you on their shuttle bus, you have no way of up & leaving. I finally explained to the woman that it was now almost 2 hours of the 90 minutes they told me that my presentation would last & in an authorative voice I told her my end of the agreement was over, I gave them my 90 minutes. When we get back, my presentation is OVER. She of course tried to shuffle me over to the tables to talk more even tho I said no over & over to get one of her 'managers' to talk to me more about it. I explained again, no I was leaving & want my vouchers. She was PO'ed but I figure, I gave them what they wanted, 90 minutes + of my time. They know good & well that going into their work day, they will NOT sell every prospective customer that comes to them.

Fairfield telemarketerd STILL constantly call my house at least once to twice a month wanting me to come back for more tours!

We stayed at a Fairlfield Resort the first week in May. My dad is owner there and believe it or not had never been there. He always trades it away. He bought it somewhere else. I can honestly say to I think I could call my self somewhat expierenced with time share presentations. I have been on a couple since I have been married but as a child my dad made whole vacations out of these places!!! This is awful but I can't remeber the name of the place. But it was on 192 not far from disney. It was very nice!!! Like I said I have been to many and had no complaints. Well the only complaint I could say is they hit you up the minute you walk in the door. I mean literally. I was a guest of my dads. So I checked in and they did not even tell me where my room was. I had to go around the corner to the little desk and sign up for my time. Then they give you a map to your room. I did think it was a little much to hit up the minute you walk in. As far as the presentation went. What presentation???? We had our 3 and 5 year old with us. I think the guy knew it was a no go. He did not even really show us anything. We had the worse and I do mean worse timeshare breakfast I ever seen! Not even real orange juice in Fl. Orange drink. The guy set with us for total probably 20 minutes. He kept getting up and leaving. He was more interested in looking up what my dad owned. I was honest with him. Why would I buy? My dad owns here and somewhere else. He share with us, and we travel with them sometimes. Its only me and my sister. At somepoint dh and I may think about adding on but not now. So with that I was out in less then a hour with my $50. So for us know high pressure. But I have seen high pressure before. Not sure that Fairfield is any more high pressure then others. As far as the faciltiy went we were very happy. In fact I am hoping my dad goes there next year and we can go!!!

We are staying at Fairfiled Orlando at Cypress Palms in July. It's an RCI exchange week and I have no intention of going to the sales meeting. Your not required to attend if your an owner or on exchange although many properties try to persuade you to attend thier meeting. Your only required if you sign up for one of thier promotional deals.

We stayed at Vacation Village at Parkway last summer through an exchange and were not even asked to attend the meeting which was very nice.

I can almost expect to be asked to attend a meeting/maintenace meeting/free breakfast on most exchanges. Hope they don't try too hard in July but if they do they have to accept no as my answer.

At the Fairfield Orlando at Cypress Palms, you will check in and they will ask you to get your parking pass (tag for your rear view mirror when parked at the resort) at a desk nearby. When they give you the pass, they invite you to attend a short meeting with some kind of gift (gift cert to a restaurant or similar). Completely decline that offer and just tell them you don't care to be asked again since you are there for a restful, quiet vacation. They'll leave it at that.

Before you leave the lobby, look in the member's lounge behind the tickets/concierge desk. There's a computer for free usage as well as a bigscreen tv for you to watch while DH checks email. Next to the concierge desk, there's a coffee/cappucino machine that dispenses small cups for free. On the other side, there's a vending area, with soft drink and snack machines as well as postage stamps. At the other end of the resort, in the activities building, there is free coffee in the mornings and a popcorn machine, I think. Here, you may sign out pool toys, inner tubes and noodles for free use in the nearest pool area. Some people don't learn of all these freebies until they are ready to leave. ;)

Have fun at the resort. We enjoyed our stay there a lot, in February. :)

No, idea about that because I used to be with Viamigo Tours. There are certain agencies which provide tourism services online. For more info about Orlando check out viamigo.

Fairfield (now Wyndham) also generally will not put you up in one of their own units. Instead, they put you up in a "serviceable" hotel to better point out how much more pleasant timeshare is.
