Fairfield Resort at Cypress Palms or Orange Lake?

Has anyone stayed at the Fairfield Resort at Cypress Palms? We have the option of staying in a 1 BR here or a 2 BR at Orange Lake. (through RCI) It is just myself, my husband, and preschooler son, so a 1 bedroom would be okay. I just want the better place. I would love to hear from people who have stayed at either resort!

We stayed at the Fairfield Cypress Palms about a month ago and enojyed our stay. We had a two bedroom unit but it was only the two of us.

It was a well maintained unit and we did not have any problems while we were there. We have never stayed at Orange Lake but from what I hear they have a lot of activites for the guests. Fairfield Cypress Plams did have scheduled activites each day though.

Fairfield Cypress Palms is a much smaller resort then Orange Lake as the buildings are 4-5 stories tall and more resemble a hotel/condo then being spread out like Orange Lake.

We would stay there again without hesitation. It was within walking distance of a bunch of restaurants out in front on 192.

If you just want a really nice condo with good amenities to spend part of your days relaxing by the pool, maybe a quiet day too, then I'd choose FF Cypress Palms. There aren't any older sections, it's very consistent in style and quality. Also, if you plan to visit WDW/Sea World/Univ, this resort is an easy 15 min drive to any of them. Orange Lake is farther from SW/Univ, not as centrally located.

If you want to fill lots of your vacation time with a wide variety of activities (lake sports, golf, several pools, including a pool slide) for all ages at a sprawling resort that offers it all right there, then go with Orlange Lake. Many OL owners return yearly to enjoy the resort itself.

Both are very nice places. Just depends on how you plan to spend your time. HTH.
