Fairfield or Residence Inn Marriott ??

Has anyone stayed at both of these Marriott properties?
Fairfield Inn Maingate and Residence Inn Maingate on Clementine St. ?

2 years ago I stayed at the Fairfield Inn, i thought the walk wasn't to bad and the hotel had clean large rooms. Liked all the restaraunts near by also.

The Residence Inn is only $10 more per night and includes free breakfast and studio suite.

Is the walk about the same, any food or the Art near the Residence Inn?

The RI has a great hot breakfast, 10 minute walk at a reasonable pace, free grocery shopping. they provide you with a dining guide for delivery or take out, nice small pool, clean rooms. We stay there when we do not stay on site which should be in August. Check trip advisor for the ratings.

what is "free grocery shopping"?

When you check in you ask for a shopping slip, fill it out and return it to the front desk. They will buy pop, milk, bread cereal, etc and deliver it to your romm, put what needs to go in the fridge..and add the tab for the items to your bill, which you pay at check out. We find it saves us a number of trips and they do not charge for the service. Anymore questions about the place, let me know.
