Has anyone ever stayed at the Fairfield Inn? We are going in June and usually stay at the Disneyland Hotel but this is less than half the cost so we thought we'd give it a try. How long does it take to walk to Disneyland? Thank You!

Its about a 7-10 min walk from the hotel to DLs entrance (thats including the walk from the harbor crosswalk to the front gates- not a bad walk-

As for the hotel- Ive stayed there twice one was good once was not- Would I stay there again? Id give it another shot if my choice hotels were booked-

When we stayed at the Fairfield Inn a few years ago, the hotel itself was fine except for the entrance door to the room. There was a huge space between the bottom of the door and the frame. You could actually feel cold air rushing in under the door. Also, it made the outside noise seem much louder. We had to stick towels under the door as a temporary fix. Just remember: you get what you pay for! For my money, I will drive down Harbor Blvd. a few miles and stay at the Crowne Plaza. Still about half the price of on-site hotels but much higher quality than the Fairfield Inn.

We styaed at Fairfield two yrs ago. I also agree about the doors.. noisy whistling , gap under door.
They were also very hard to open - lots of air pressure sucking them in and they would slam shut when you let the door go. Kind of scary with little fingers.

Smallish pool near parking lot.
Convenient location to McDonald's (you can pay an extra fee and someone from hotel will pick up meals for you as room service). Kid's eat free at nearby Millie's - nice family dining.
Beds were NOT comfortable. Glad we only had a few nights there and then went to DL hotel with AP rates that yr... we were very stiff and sore after three nights on lumpy/ soft /worn out mattress. (But I think they just replaced all the mattresses last yr??)
They had fridge in room.
Playstation --- but charged high fee per MINUTE.
Water for $3 a bottle in room (we asked them to take them away).

Housekeeping was good and they arranged DS stuffed animals in crazy ways each day which was a cute and fun discovery.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Not the best hotel but not the worst either. We switched to using Priceline after that year, with great results.. this year we found Entertainment rate for HoJo's (YEAH!!!)
