So, has anyone been there? What are the rooms like? How many bathrooms? Is there a living room, or is it just 2 bedrooms?

TIA

Also wondering the same thing. We are looking for a nice "suite" type of hotel room at a decent price for our first night. We land in MCO at approx 9:30 pm and would rather just get a cheaper room for the first night. We really need a large room like a suite.
They have good rates for this Family suite, but I am also wondering about the layout and picures.
I also found good rates at the Springhill Suites in the same complex across the street. They have some nice size suites for a good rate as well.

Hope someone can help !

Anyone stay at a family suite at Fairfield Inn & Suites at the Marriott Courtyard Lake Buena Vista ? Its the Marriott complex with a Fairfield Inn & Suites, Springhill suites, and Marriott Courtyard. Exit 68 off rt4, very close to DTD.
Anyone?
Thanks,

I've never stayed at one, but will be staying at Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando International Drive in Jan. I looked at tripadvisors.com and read the reviews there. (I did a search for just Marriot hotels as I will have a $100 gift card to use thanks to Mypoints.

Yes, great place to stay; you can also "pool-hop" between the 3 hotels in Marriott Village.

The Fairfield Family Suite: if this is the room I think it is, it's not really a suite; rather, a room with 2 sleeping areas. It has the K bed area in the very back, and a walled off room with bunkbeds, dresser, TV in middle of the room. Bathroom is in the front and the bedrooms are accessed down a somewhat narrow hallway. There was barely room to squeeze in a pack-n-play. We stayed in this room at the Marriott Village once, on a deal from Mousesavers; YMMV at other Fairfields.

If you need more of a suite room with a communal place for everyone to hang out, stay at the Residence Inn or even the Courtyard on Palm (less expensive). Sprighill is also an option but it's not as roomy as the first two. Springhill does have a bit nicer breakfast than the Fairfield.

Thanks for this ! We are trying to decide between Springhill, and Fairfield Family suite . We will just need it for sleeping for one night only, so basically looking for beds for 5. Do you remember what the bed config. was in the "kids" room at Fairfield?
Thanks !

If you need to sleep 5 you'll be okay; just be sure the room size says 5 (click on the detail fact sheet on the room you are booking from the Marriott page). I don't exactly remember the room beds but the photos show a twin bunk on top and a double on the bottom, so if you can squeeze two kids into a double you'll be okay. There's another family suite that says it only sleeps 4 so avoid that one; maybe it is only 2 twin bunks. (When we were there we had 2 kids in the bunk room and 1 baby in the pack-n-play).

The Springhill at MV only has double beds, which is a big negative (hard to sleep 2 adults on a double). That room would give you 2 doubles and a pull-out couch.

If you have down time, go over and enjoy the pool at the Courtyard; it's nice and has indoor/outdoor pool areas. We'll often grab a pizza at the on-site food court and eat at the Courtyard-pool tables there.

Note: depending on when you go and what the traffic level is, the turn out of MV toward Disney/535 can be horrific. Here is a tip: from the MV turn LEFT---you can access WDW that way. Check out a map or gps for details.

Another place to check out for a one night room reservation is the Hampton Inn on Palm. It has queen beds and possibly a roll-away (you'll have to check for that 5th person). Breakfast on par with the Fairfield, bigger bathroom. The biggest plus is you can sometimes get a super room rate there---I've gotten in the $55. range direct from their website a couple of times in the past year. It's the only time we've strayed from the Mariott properties in LBV and we've been happy there too.

The breakfast at the Spring Hill is much better than the Fairfield. Fairfield is just a continental breakfast and hot waffles. Not bad, not great. Spring Hill has the more traditional eggs, bacon, etc. More hot food in general. If you are considering the Fairfield, I'd encourage you to check on the one on I-Drive. I travel a lot for work and the one on I-Drive required 50% fewer Marriott Points to book in September--that might be an indication of a lower price if you are paying with cash as well.

The last time I stayed at the SpringHill (a few months ago) the only eggs were hardboiled eggs and no bacon of sausage. I think they've been trying to cut back on food costs. Residence Inn is the only dependable larger breakfast with hot entrees.

Totally hear you on those points though! What is a cat. 2 or 3 anywhere else is a 5 in LBV.

We'll be at the Fairfield - MV next month. $79/nt (20,000pts/nt) and $25 onsite credit.

At that price, it was cheaper to pay cash than to use the points.

Would be interested in knowing what the food courts offer, as the website doesn't seem to list them all.

If Spring hill has only Doubles, dont know if that will work for us. We prefer queens at least or a king. We are also considering a few others like Buena Vista suites, which has double queen suites and also Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa.........this looks nice and they have "real" suites with multiple bedrooms for good prices. Anyone ever stay here?
Thanks for the help.......
