This is just my opinion. I just wanted to preface this!

I would never give a cent to the Fairfield Resorts. If anyone really knew how they treated their potential customers, you would probably think the same.
Back in the Spring of 2003, I went to San Antonio, TX on business. On one of my off days, my DW and I were walking in downtown San Antonio. A guy came out and asked if we would be interested in getting free tickets to some of the attractions. He said all we would have to do is sit through a timeshare presentation. We had the time, so we did it.
The resorts are very appealing and desireable, and we were honestly considering it. Then it came down to the subject of the cost. We still hadn't completely thrown out the idea, we were just really thinking about it. When they started to see us think, they brought over a supervisor that pressured us for over 30 minutes. He said some things that really offended me. For example, he kept saying, "Imagine how much you are going to get from your wife for signing up for this." He also said, "Your wife will thank you later if you get this." Stuff like this was completely inappropriate in my opinion.
Thank goodness we didn't buy into the Fairfield, because about 3 months later we bought into DVC, with NO PRESSURE at all. Our advisor, Carol Ann, actually gave me her own personal calculator to take back to our resort and play around with numbers.
Just my own opinion, but I thought everyone was intitled to knowing how the Fairfield Resorts treat their potential owners. Just a warning!
