What we ate is bolded in case you don't want to read my rambling.
Thursday night we chose a German restaurant. We started by sharing a bowl of excellent
lentil soup. For our entree, DH chose
Jager Schnitzel. I wanted to try the
potato pancakes to see how they compared to the kind my mom used to make. Our other side was
red cabbage, which was delicious. I haven't eaten fried food in about four months. It turns out there's a reason for that.

(More on that later.) Regardless, the recommendation was a solid one. We plan to return on our next stay in the area. We'll just avoid fried food.
Yesterday, I was very nauseous all day. I'm sure the aforementioned fried food was the culprit. If we hadn't had tickets for a comedy show, we would have stayed in. Alas, I decided to give it a go. We shared a
burrata appetizer. DH also ordered the
bread service & an Italian sausage minestrone soup, after I declared myself done with food for the evening. Even though I didn't feel up to eating, we still had a good time. I'm glad I forced myself to go.
We're back home for a couple nights & need to clean out the fridge.
Tonight will be whatever leftovers we have in there.
