Fair Food

We are going to our local county fair today for some yummy food...LOL...what is your favorite fair food?!?!?

I always get a corn dog. But a fire dept. within driving distance of us makes homemade donuts at the fair on one of those old donut machines that are soooo yummy!! We drive over just for the donuts, there is always a line, but it is so worth it.

Just wanted to reply that I am totally jealous that you are able to go to the Fair and eat Fair food. We had another 2-4 inches of snow here last night and I am really sick of the snow. We had over 30 inches in February. If I were going I'd be eating major heinous junk for sure... Enjoy!

I like the roasted corn and the potato chips that are made from one potato thinly sliced and then freshly fried. Yum!!!

oh my! good thing I have never seen these anywhere! a grilled pb&j was one of my childhood favorites!!

Oh, they are amazing! The peanut butter gets so heated that it is almost liquified. It blends effortlessly with the grape jelly and explodes with warm, gooey goodness when you bite into it.

I'm thankful we only go to the fair once a year. The main reason we go is to eat!! The first thing we have to have is fresh cut fries loaded with malt vinegar and salt. Then DH likes a turkey leg, and we get an elephant ear to share, and we share a container of deep fried veggies (zuchinni, mushrooms, cauliflower and onion rings), and we like deep fried Twinkies and Oreos...

And on the way out I get a monster bag of cotton candy to take home.

Im jealous too we got 30 inches over the past 3 days here !
My fav fair food is most definetley footlong hotdogs and deep fried ice cream

I was at the fair last week! Pretty much all we did was walk around and eat! My favorite things were the jumbo corn dogs, roasted corn and elephant ears. We also had frozen custard, caramel corn, cotton candy and frozen cheesecake on a stick. It was all so good!

I am going to the Strawberry Festival this weekend...I have 2 things on my agenda...chocolate covered bacon, and a "make your own" strawberry shortcake...

I went to the fair in Tampa 2 weeks ago..and surprisingly did not eat as much as I wanted..LOL

One year it was ostrich burgers.
One year it was deep fried Twinkies.

I saw this on Oprah. Oprah and Gayle went to the Texas Fair and tried it. It looked amazing! I hope it makes its way to Florida. *

I'm a big fan of deep fried anything, but butter? Like, a whole stick, in the deep fryer? Doesn't it just liquify and ooze out? Oooh, actually, that's starting to sound pretty good!

DH and I are going to the Plant City Strawberry Festival tomorrow, where we can at least pretend to be vaguely healthy with all the strawberries! Doesn't matter if they're covered in whipped cream or chocolate, they're still fruit and in my mind, still good for me!
