I was logging in to Dis boards when I accidentally changed from Google to Wikipedia. Some facts about the Dis boards. Oh, no, no. Not this DIS. Other Dis boards!
Francis H. McAdams, Jr. (December 27, 1915 to December 11, 1985) was a former NTSB board member. He was nominated to the position April 5, 1967 by President Lyndon Johnson and confirmed by the Senate April 20, 1978. He joined the board July 31, 1967.
He was reappointed to the board at least three times, and stayed on for 16 years. He would often concur with board findings while filing a dissenting report. Usually his opinions were more penetrating to the root causes of the accidents than what the board would issue with its report. These addenda were included with the report.
McAdams published "Professional immunity and incident reporting" through the Department of Transportation, National Transportation Safety Board in 1977.
He died December 11, 1985 while jogging.
