fabulous face painters

This post is a long time in coming. We visited US and IOA in November, but I have been wanting to compliment the face painters at US. My 3 children all had their faces painted and the young man and a pregnant woman were simply fabulous. It was the best 7-10$ I spent while on our trip. (7-10 depending on what the kids got). These two young people were funny, pleasant, efficient and extremely talented. My three children were thrilled with the results and I was thrilled with the experience. I wish I had gotten their names, for they both deserve some recongnition. They really knew how to interact with children and spread happiness.

Where'd you get the painting done? There's one guy who works primaily at the marvel one, and he's PHENOMANAL! So good he was going to some World competition or was planning on entering it, if my memory serves me correctly.

it was in a small booth near twister I think, right near the horrible make up show.

Here is a picture of the man and the woman but I had trouble getting their faces. The man did his own face paint. If you saw a full shot of it, it was AWESOME! We also had face painting at MGM after this (because the kids loved it), and although it came out very nice. THe people could not top these two wonderful people at US.

The makeup kiosk that you show in your picture is actually in front of the Monster Cafe, diagonally across from Twister.

I know the Wolf brothers who operate the makeup concessions. They have done a lot of HHN makeup over the years. They are both fabulous makeup artists, and generally hire high quality people to work for them.

Well they certainly deserve as much praise as possible. The two artists were very talented (they both said they had art school training and then an extensive training for US/IOA). But it was the interaction with my children that really made my day. We also had face painting at MGM and while the results were almost as good, as much as I love Disney, the people were not of the same caliber as these two talented individuals.

I think my DD's (5 & 7) would enjoy this. What were the choices to have painted on their faces?

They had many choices from full face to partial. For boys they had pretty much all the Marvel superheroes and villans. THey also had many glamerous cat faces and other such fancies for girls. the prices ranged from 7-15$.
