Fabric steamer recommendations???

Hi everyone! I'm back with more questions. OK, after noticing the prices to get the dresses and tuxes steamed by professionals, I'm considering buying a steamer. There are a TON of them on ebay for surprisingly low prices. So my question is.....does anyone have any recommendations or products to avoid? Honestly, I know nothing about steamers, so I'm a little out of my league here.

Not to chase you away from here or anything, but you might get more of a response if you asked this question on either the Budget Board or the Community Board.

The only thing I would recommend is talking to a professional about the fabric of your dress and how well it works with steaming. Some fabrics can be completely ruined with steam.

I'm considering the same thing! Please let us know what you discover! Oh, and I agree with the ruining thing! My SILs mom was steaming her sisters veil and it totally disintegrated on the morning of her wedding!!!! OMG she had to run out and buy a new one ASAP!
