F&W sampler package

Wondering if anyone has used the F&W sampler package yet? The one that has 8 entitlements for $59. Disney's websites notes that certain food and beverage items are excluded but only says they are listed on the entitlement and doesn't provide any info on their website (shocking, I know).

I'm trying to determine if the $59 is worth it or if the exclusions are too extensive.

They also restrict you to only using the entitlements at the 30 official F&W Marketplaces, they give you a list of them. So although some regular year round food spots participate with special Festival offerings you can't use the entitlements to purchase at them. The excluded spots include Block & Hans and Fife & Drum both near American Adventure, Refreshmentport near Canada, Refreshment Coolpost in the African village, Intermissions Cafe in the Festival Center and all the Joffrey's Coffee Carts. So figure out if you can find enough items from the 30 booths that cost $7.50 or more that you want because that's the minimum spend to break even with the Sampler Package. Someone has reported being able to use it on the La Passion slush from the France booth.

Update: Someone just reported successfully using an entitlement for $9 glass of wine @ Block & Hans.

Yes pickup is at the Festival Center. Quantities are limited each day but if there is still availability for that day you should be able to purchase day of visit. The package is bookable online so you could check before you head to the park for availability & book before arrival but I've heard you can't use gift cards to book online.

Yup, I had an issue on Friday night, they were unable to book over the phone. I could pull up availability online, but wanted to use my DVA to pay, and only credit card could be used online. I even hung up and called back and still they couldn't book it. They could find it, but told me it was sold out, making sure I knew that booking opened quite some time ago and that things sell out. Frustrating to say the least. I was a bit worried that these samplers may sell out now that the word got out that they could be used on the expensive drinks, but I waited and called back on Saturday morning and had no issue booking over the phone using my DVA. Maybe their systems were messed up on Friday night, who knows. I know I could have booked online using a credit card, but I wanted to use money I had already spent on gift cards transferred into the DVA.

A question for people who have purchased the sampler package: Obviously the concert credential needs to be used the day you book, but what about the entitlements? Are they must use that day as well? Or can they be rolled over?

I'd love to drink my way around a few days apart.

They are reporting that the Sampler Package entitlements can be used any day of the festival.

As I posted earlier in this thread the package can be booked online. This translates to "yes, it can be purchased in advance".
