Went to the festival yesterday and we were able to use snack credits for food at the kiosks. This may have already been stated, but we are off to AK and no time to spend reading posts!! Yea for us on the dining plan!!!
If you have any questions we are going back Monday and I will try to get answers
Happy vacationing!

We did the DDP last October for 5 days while staying at SSR. We switched over to BC for 3 more days (not on DDP). We saved all of our snack credits. On the day we switched to BC we used our saved snack credits at F&W and were able to eat night long at the F&W booths. It was great and it saved us paying for a meal on one of our non-DDP days.

What about items that are more than $4? I know there are some things I'd like to try that are $4.25 or $4.50 - are they still one snack credit, or do we pay OOP?

Will it work on the $6.75 lobster roll at the U.S. kiosk?

I think that would a great use of a snack credit!

last year the snack credit was accepted for the lobster roll - sure hope it is this year, too!

WOW! This changes everything. I had no idea that the festival accepted snack credits for food. I was planning on getting the lobster roll. My husand wants the pizza. Hope that will be covered with a snack credit too!

I just looked at the pics of the food signs from last year's market places. There are NO MARKINGS that indicated that they took the dining plan. I specifically checked the sign with the lobster roll. So how did/ do you know that a snack credit covered it? Just wondering. This will help us plan how to use the plan best.

My husband want to know if beer is covered too. I am guessing NO. But I didn't know they covered anything, so it just goes to show what I didn't know!;)

The dining plan marking is on the "above head" sign on the booth, not on the stand at the front of the booth. Take a look at the pics at www.mousesteps.com and you will see what I mean; it's a little hard to explain!;)

OK, I'm a little computer challenged. I clicked on your link, but I didn't see any pics. :confused3

Thank you! I see what you are talking about. I am so excited that they take snack credits. We will be saving the 25 we will be getting for when we visit. Thanks for all the great pics!!

Lobster roll!!!

who will have gone all the way from massachusetts to florida for lobster :confused3 :lmao: ;)

and as answered before... :sad2: no beer or wine on the acceptable snacks... darn

Thanks for the heads up. We leave in a couple of weeks for a 12 night stay, so that's 24 snack credits to use. We usually have a ton the last day and bring home lots of junk, so hopefully we can use them better this trip.

:) We were there on Friday, the 1st day of the F/W fest, and we had the Lobster Roll. Sadly, we were not crazy about it. It had a lot of chopped red pepper in it which really overpowered the flavor of the lobster. I love red pepper, but I wanted to taste some lobster too!

Sadly beer or wine is not covered with a SC or I would have used all of my credits there. A lot of the Snack are covered and a purple sticker is next to the ones covered but not at the main board but the board over the pavilian. Loved the OOP beer but the snacks I used the SC for were all cold , small and bad tasting so don't order 2 of anything before trying one first.
My advice use you SC elsewhere, bakeries of sundays or a dolewhip float

I agree. You can make good use of your snack credits by getting the School bread in Norway (large yeast roll filled w/custard cream and glazed w/icing and coconut) or if you are in the MK, don't leave without going to the Main Street Bakery and getting the toll house cookie ice cream sandwich. They use 3 scoops of icecream! :scared1: Our family of 3 split 1 for a snack!
