Hi there! Not sure if this should be here or over in Restaurants...

I am trying to create a loose budget for my October 2017 WDW trip with my DBF. We are there 10/9-10/17. We will have two morning/afternoons (10/12 and 10/16) there and one evening (10/16), so planning to split it into 10 or so booths per visit. In order to sample as much as we can and not be too full too soon, we will likely split food and drinks (unless there's something we really disagree on trying!).

So, thoughts for how much to budget for all three visits? Thank you for any advice!

That's a hard question to answer. Food at each booth will be around 5-7 dollars an item. Some items may be a little lower others may be a little higher. So I would take about $100. a day to be on the safe side. Have a great time!!! We will be there the week after you. Can't wait!!!

Are you talking about the eating around the world part of it? food and wine is really large with guest chef breakfasts, special themed experiences, even resorts were doing special things last year.. all of them very expensive meals...

The eating around the world, just food part of it, I would say for groups of 4 or more, probably about $50 a person.. When you get less than 4, raise that number a little maybe going up to 100 a person and you'll probably spend less. I find when myself or my daughter goes, we want to try everything so we order different thigns and pass it around. when you get 4 or more, your not buying that much extra just to be able to try it..

The local papers actually figure out the costs if you tried everything and I think they came up with if you tried everything that was food came out to $235 so it's pretty close to the $50 a person number for a group of 4 to try almost everything there is and share it...

I find drinking in the heat and trying to stay hydrated a challenge so I rarely drink at epcot so I don't have any first hand experience with costs and budgets when alcohol is part of it..

PRO TIP: You can use dining plan snacks for every food item at eat around the world, even if it's expensive. If you paid for snacks and saved them for the world eating you can save a lot of money if your getting the dining plan. You cannot convert meals to snacks at the kiosks so don't go in expecting to do that..

They also generally sell some type of ticket system where you get 8 or 16 food items.. It's a waste if you don't want the expensive stuff or get too much of the lower cost things but if your going to try it all and careful with when you use them, you can easily save some money with that payment menthod..

You're right. I think about $100 to be safe, give or take. We are so excited too! Been trying to go to it for years!

Yes, sorry, should've clarified. I meant strictly "around the world," since guest chefs and special experiences haven't been released yet. I also don't want to overwhelm myself (or spend too much extra money) and want to focus on walking around World Showcase, rather than the special events. We aren't doing DDP, since we tend to split breakfast and lunch, or else it's too much food for us, but thanks for the tips. It's amazing you can use snack credits for a lot of the food! Seems like a steal. We will def sample drinks, but as you said, staying hydrated in EP is tough, so have to be careful for sure. I think I'm guna budget around $120 per day and hope we stick close to it, but if we go over, no big deal cuz it's F&W! Thanks again!
