F&W event prices are ridiculous!

Folks who pay for special events subsidize improvements for us poors. ;) Folks who buy overpriced drinks do the same for us non-drinking dullards. It's analogous to the auto industry. Honda makes very little, if any, profit on the Accord. But because folks love them the CRV and Pilot, Honda as a whole makes lots of $. And us Accord drivers get a fantastic bargain.

As a CRV owner, you’re welcome!

Never have been the least bit interested in the F&W events. I live in New Orleans and this month over 100 of the top restaurants here have prix fixe 2 course lunches for $20 or under and 3 course dinners for $39 or under. I plan on eating lots of great food.

I do enjoy the food booths at F&W, F&G, and the Christmas season.
This New Orleans event is worth way more to me than the Disney stuff. It's all subjective though.

Enjoy!

In 2015 I paid about $90pp for the Parisian Luncheon at Mons. Paul’s. There was a lot of wine so there was value there, but the food was very carb heavy with hardly (maybe none?) any meat. I was more than a little tipsy when I left. I did question the price to myself when I left. For $90 I expected at least some chicken!

ETA - I had to look up my review from 2015, apparently it was $95pp and there was a lamb stew course. I can't remember it at all though, but I'm thinking it didn't have a ton of lamb in it. I wish I had a picture of it.

I checked out the prices for the various food and wine pairing events and they seem in line to what I pay for special similiar type of events at local restaurants.

We have gone to several of the food and wine pairings and will do 3 this year. For what you get and the time involved, we always felt like they were a good deal. But, we also enjoy listening to the chef talk about the food and someone talk about how they came up with the wine to pair with the food..
