Does anyone know the dates for the Food And Wine Festival in 2016? I already made reservations for a particular week in mid-October, but I'd like to go either at the beginning or end, if I knew for sure when the dates are.

They have not released the dates yet. This year they started it 9/25, the year before it was 9/19, but prior to that they were always around that 9/25-9/30 mark (whenever the Friday was). I'm anxiously awaiting hearing about it as well because my trip is 9/17-10/1 so I'm hoping for a whole week and not just one day.

No dates yet. All we know for sure is that the Wine & Dine half marathon is scheduled for November 5.

CAN'T WAIT to return again and hear the dates!:cheer2: HOPING to go early October '16!::yes::

These were the dates for the ten most recent Epcot International Food and Wine Festivals:

Friday, September 29, 2006 to Sunday, November 12, 2006 (44 days)
Friday, September 28, 2007 to Sunday, November 11, 2007 (44 days)
Friday, September 26, 2008 to Sunday, November 9, 2008 (44 days)
Friday, September 25, 2009 to Sunday, November 8, 2009 (44 days)
Friday, October 1, 2010 to Sunday, November 14, 2010 (44 days)
Friday, September 30, 2011 to Sunday, November 13, 2011 (44 days)
Friday, September 28, 2012 to Monday, November 12, 2012 (45 days)
Friday, September 27, 2013 to Monday, November 11, 2013 (45 days)
Friday, September 19, 2014 to Monday, November 10, 2014 (52 days)
Friday, September 25, 2015 to Monday, November 16, 2015 (52 days)

Except in 2014, the Festival always began on October 1 or the Friday before October 1.

The Festival has been getting longer. It's was 52 days in 2014 and 2015.

Disney needs some time between the end of the Festival and Thanksgiving. Taking down the Festival and setting up for the Holiday season are both major undertakings.

Here's my PREDICTION for 2016:
Friday, September 23, 2016 to Monday, November 14, 2016 (52 days)

Looking at the history, this prediction is based on another 52-day run and the same number days between the end of the Festival and Thanksgiving as in 2015.

Again, this is only a prediction. Please don't blame me if you book a vacation and Disney subsequently announces different dates.

THANKS for the historical data!:goodvibes I think that F&W '16 will begin on Fri Sept 23rd also.. If it starts 1 week later, Fri Sept.30th, it seems late!

Does anyone know WHEN the dates will be released?:confused3 Hoping SOON! TIA!

We are going Oct 30-Nov 5 for our honeymoon, and the only reason we chose our wedding date later in October vs mid-September was because I wanted to make sure we could go during F&W! We've never been during F&W (they were starting to set up the booths the day we left in Sept. 2012) and I'm SO excited :dogdance:

You're in for a real treat...F&W is so awesome! :cloud9: So many yummy treats to be had. mmmmmmm.

I'll be there 9/24-10/1. Fingers crossed for a 9/23 start! My husband is just simply not the Disney junkie that I am, but he does love the World Showcase in EPCOT and he's somewhat of a beer snob, so he will be VERY excited if there are lots of unusual drink selections while we are there!

Food and Wine 2016
September 23 - November 14, 2016
start your planning.

At the Candlelight they gave out these booklets very much like the ones that they have at Food and Wine that you can have stamped and the dates are on the back of the booklet.

Yes, I can confirm that the "Holiday Passport 2015" for Epcot Holidays Around the World has this on the inside back cover:

EPCOT INTERNATIONAL FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL
September 23 - November 14, 2016

So it's now official that the dates for 2016 are Friday, September 23, 2016 to Monday, November 14, 2016, which again makes the festival 52 days.

Based upon the Sept/October calendar, my "prediction" for opening was Sept.23rd! HOPING to get back October for another F&W! :wizard::woohoo:

I was hoping they would push it up another week since my AP expires Sept. 20. Sigh, oh well, now I'll have to decide when it rolls around if I want to renew or just buy plain old PHs. I usually go twice a year, F&G and F&W, both trips for 5 nights/6 days so the AP made sense but since they have increased the price I'll have to do the math. I do take advantage of the discounts but lately I've found room discounts on Orbitz to be just as good.
