EZ pass ???

I can understand that for people not used to heavy traffic...but the OP is coming from the northeast, so they'll have to pass through NY, NJ, and DC traffic before getting to Orlando. Orlando's I-4 traffic, even at rush hour, will be a breeze compared to what the driver had to go through to get there.

It still takes time to go through heavy traffic, and it's harder on your body/mind.

There's no guarantee that traffic will be bad. Taking the Greenway, you're guaranteed the wear & tear and time it takes to travel *20 extra miles*.

Having been caught in stop and go traffic on I-4 from the turnpike to 192 (Citrus Bowl traffic, IIRC), I'll take the 20 extra miles.

update to my earlier post

I've had my SP for 5 years, so I went back to see what the current web info was

http://www.touch-n-buy.com/sunpass/

there are now locations where you can buy the SP and immediately activate it with cash..... AMSCOT locations are one place (curiously the toll road locations are not listed) NOTE - NOT ALL LOCATIONS WHERE YOU CAN BUY ONE.

btw the site I linked was VERY slow for me . . .
