Hi,

Does anybody know how fast a credit card is accessed after you trip the replenishment balance amount? I'm concerned that I might not have a balance after I trip the amount, and then go through a few more tolls in just a few hours.

Thanks,
Jim

I know with the Sun Pass here in FL. it is immediate so it is probably the same for your location.

Can't you go online and up your amount?

Hi,

Thanks; I'll try that. I just switched my EZ Pass from one state to another. The first state was very internet unfriendly so I didn't even think of this.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,
Not to worry. As long as you have credit card replenishment you'll be fine. I work for a toll agency and E-ZPass is part of my life. With CC replenishment your account IS ALLOWED to go into the negative, your card may not be hit for several days. As long as your CC is current we will always get our money. It's the cash/check replenishment customers that may have problems when their account draws down to $0.00. No need to go online and up anything - it's all automatic. Have a great trip! :cool1:

I travel a lot between NJ & Brooklyn, NY, and my balance goes to a negative often. As the previous posters stated, as long as you have a current credit on file, not to worry (at least with NJ-based EZ-Pass)

Wile I never had EZ pass when I lived in PA, I use Sun Pass here in Orlando, and my transponder is set to charge another $50 when the balance drops below $10. I spend about $3.75 in tolls each day here (don't get me started), so my card gets "dinged" about once a month, sometimes twice, depending on the timing. The transponder makes a special beep when it drops below $10, and within a few hours it has been replenished.
