almost forgot to add pictures of the pumpkin(s) that DF and i carved tonight!

DF carved the Jack one and i carved the Harry Potter one......which i will NEVER do again because that one was SO hard to do. the hardest one i've ever had to do ever. it looks really cool, but was so hard to do. all those little peices and then they're hanging on by a thread basically.

DF liked the Jack one. at one point he says to me "Hey hun, i'm doing your guy.......wait.....no that didn't come out right!"

*sigh* leave it to him......

Good job, you both have a lot of pumpkin carving talent....

OMG! I was so shocked to check in and "catch up" this morning and see this post! I found out about this when JD was receiving that award. When I went to the website and read about Dustin, I had to order one. The sentiment, "Today is a gift...have fun" is so true. It's a great cause.

I've met many soap opera stars. A few years ago, they tried having a super soap weekend in CA. I went each time and always stayed at the Grand Californian. That allowed us to 'run' into many of the stars away from the park. Many were very gracious when I spoke to them, a few were stand off-ish. The best encounter was with Kiko Ellsworth who played Jamal in the now cancelled Port Charles. My son and I stood in line to get his autograph and he took a lot of time chatting with my son. A press photographer took many pictures and had me sign a release. One of the pictures ended up being featured in the next issue of Soaps in Depth. But what made it really great was that the rest of the day, whenever Kiko saw him, he'd waive of stop and say hi.

I never really met a celebrity- but you mention soap stars- I guess they would be considered celebs- I did meet the guy who plays Jonathan Lavery on All My Children- he is dating DH's cousin and they were at one of the family weddings we attended. I had no idea who he was and we were sitting behind him in the church- I just fell in love with his long velvet jacket and kept motioning to DH I was trying to steal it from the pew during the ceremony- come to find out- it was him infront of us- I only knew this after we were introduced. I didnt really care who he was- I just told him I wanted his jacket!

Home from work now..not a good day at work...

Everyone had 18 problems I had to address right then and there...

Had a bad hair day today....

And on the way home got a flat tire on my own street.....

However DH pirate and DS pirate showed up in a minute and changed it in no time and I could drive on home..only about fifteen minutes late....

Now time to catch up on the wench news and eyeball the Captain and Mr Depp for a bit .....
