heavy metal bands are bands like Marilyn Manson and TOOL and Nine Inch Nails.......not Jon Bon Jovi. he's just under the "rock" genre......DEIFINATLY NOT heavy metal.

Those didn't even exist back then that i knew of and I am not sure what i would even call them..trash? Ok, maybe not right..gothic rock?

Maybe when I think of him and when folks think of him, we just sue different classifications. I think my last classification stopped around punk rock ?

Ok...I am really going to show my advanced age here...I am 51 now, and it is just a number to me....

Back in the early to mid 1960s there was a game show on saturday morning tv for kids called Shenanigans with a guy called Stubby Kaye as host. I loved that show, and they did all kinds of games to advance around a game board kind of set. Anyone else old enough to remember that..probably on tv about the time some of you were being born.....

Aye, it is... that is the late Hunter S. THompson doing the shaving. Johnny played Hunter S.'s character Raoul Duke in the movie Fear and Loathign in Las Vegas... based on the book of the same title by Hunter S. Thompson.

you know I have never seen the movie- I would think it would be interesting b/c it is true. I told DH I want to make it a point to see every Mr Depp movie. There are some that I didnt even know existed.

And! Benicio Del Toro- now he is yummy!

Nine Inch Nails and TOOL have been around for 15 years or so. and the only one i could even think to say "gothic rock" is Manson. and i wouldn't go around calling people trash.....it's really not necessary.

my mother's friend's husband(mouthfull there!) works for a local radio station and my mom's friend got to meet Manson one time(mind you, my mother told me this story, and SHE'S the LAST person to ever say anything nice about Manson) and she said that he was actually very nice and polite and quiet.

i agree. you just have to get past his make-up. some of his songs are really good.

I saw Aerosmith in concert years ago ..awesome show....

A lot of great bands back in the 70s and 80s, saw a lot of them in concert over the years....
