Extremely Rude Guests

Last summer at MK there was a group of about 6 or 7 Spanish and English speaking folks. Two of the group would take turns standing in line while the rest of the group went on different attractions. Then when the part of the group that was not in line showed up, they would push their way through to where the rest of the group was waiting. This happened to us on several attractions.

I was starting to get annoyed with them when we were in the fast pass line at Jungle Cruise. The two women shoved past me, knocking me into the barrier and tried to get on the ride. :scared1: Well, they didn't even have fast passes, so the CM held them back while my youngest and I got on the cruise. They pulled the "no English" bit and got on anyway. :headache:

So then we got in line for Alladins Magic Carpet, and those two "ladies" pushed in front of us again to get in line. I held my tongue but I was getting pissed. Then the rest of the group showed up and tried to push in front of us again. I lost my temper at that point, blocked the way and wouldn't let them past.

They argued with me and I told them to get behind us in line if it was so important for them to ride together. They shoved past me anyway, got on the ride, and just then the ride broke down. Vindication was mine! Evil

That's when we left the park to go swimming, because I swear if I saw that group again I was going to go ballistic.

Those brazillian tour groups were just wonderful. They were staying at our hotel and were rude, disrespectful, annoying, sloppy, LOUD, etc etc. They had the police called out one night due to not getting out of pool when asked(at 2am), cut ppl. in line nearly every day, rammed into people to get off the busses. They plowed my 7 year old over one night and I am still angry. This trip really opened my eyes up to how different cultures raise their children. They ran around like maniacs wherever they went with no consideration for others, even the disabled. I spoke with several other couples and they were all saying the same thing. The worst thing I saw was while walking to fantasmic. I was talking to an older man in a scooter and was directly behind him with my stroller. Since my father was a veteran we were talking about this as he was as well. I had a stroller directly behind me with a lady who was with a group of brazillian girls(green shirts) she kept riding me and eventually ended up in front of me. I didnt say anything until she started to ram into the man in the scooter with her stroller(with no kid in it) repeatedly so I tell her to back up its not a race we are all going to the same place. She spoke in her native tongue and i told her to speak in english if she wanted to tell me something and that she shouldnt be plowing people over who are disabled and pointed out that she was actually behind me. She must not have liked that because she magically started speaking in english after this and starts spazzing out and says shes been cut in front of 800 times today and that her kids are waiting for her and then asks me if Im finished. I said NO im not. You should have respect for your elders and others around you. Another family saw her acting crazy as she parked her stroller crashing it into theirs and speaking her language and cussing. She literally flew out of there(perhaps to avoid another confrontation). We all just stood there shocked. Im sorry, but where I come from that behavior isnt acceptable!

brazilian tour groups. enough said. the list would be way to long

As I am using my phone to write this right now and ran out of room while typing that ;)

BUT there were so many good things and acts of kindness during our trip that make it all worthwhile. I became very ill after riding mission space(intense)with my daughter and was nearly passing out when a very nice doctor saw me struggling and held his water bottle to my face, helped me breathe and calm down explained what it does to your body then told me i should probably call it a night. I felt awful and will be forever greatful for his assistance that night. There were so many helpful people and friendly families we met from all accross the states and canada, england and scotland. Binkys were picked up at least 10 times from strangers, comments were made about how pretty and well behaved my girls were(if only they knew the truth lol), i spoke with a pediatrician for over a 1/2 hr about general topics and asked for advice on ditching the binky while waiting for the parade in MK;) While in Epcot coloring her mask my daughter met a 2nd grade teacher from PA which she thought was cool since she is now officially in 2nd grade! A very nice famiily from texas and i talked about budgeting and gave my complaining 7 year old a pack of crackers while waiting for soarin. Fastpasses were offered to us, our room was upgraded ,SO many small things that were just great...lots of disney magic, even with the riff raff, the good things just stand out more for us :)

Please move over a little bit. I'm bringing ice cream, so eat fast I'll thing the threats is going to closed before the ice has melted.

And the Cast Members must be polite and nice at all times (whether we want to or not)!

Yea, and that is a damn shame. No one should have to put up with abuse from ignorant , abusive customers. The customer is NOT always right......by ANY means! :sad2:

I detest that emocon. It's so rude, like this one :snooty:. Honestly, tat emocon is just stiring the bucket. It's not crossing the line, but standing on it. Why are they even on the list? :confused3

ANYWAYS, I don't think I can call any race more rude than another, but the Europeians and Asian drive me nuts. I have had wonderful experiences with both, but I get so many rude experiences from there two groups of people.

I was at the water parks, and this Asian woman refused to get out of the pool area after the slide. She held up the whole ride as she played in the water and then decided to play "me no speak English" with a CM. The CM eventually screamed loud enough to get her out. Another group of people stole our chairs at the water parks WHILE WE WERE SITTING IN THEM!!! We we dumbfounded, they took our chairs, not the loungers, WHILE THERE WERE TONS STACKED ELSEWHERE!!! So awful...

Same day we came across Europeans who also thought they could steal our chairs, run trough our area, and smoke. It was truly a joy to have them pollute the air right next to us.

Again, I've had great experiences with them, but these two groups of people really leaft me with a bad taste in my mouth.

At a water park a few years ago there were one or two teenaged girls who spent all day running up to the top of the slides past the queue because "I'm looking for my family", riding down, and at the bottom where you're supposed to hand your tube to the next person in line they would hang on to it and run back to the top again.

Once I was in the line getting near the top and this gal ran past me "looking for my family" and knocked me on the back of my head with her tube so hard that it sent my glasses flying through the air.

I know it's tempting to confront these people and yell at them or whatever, but it's always best to just leave them alone. Most CMs are not assertive enough to stop them but there's a lot of CMs in every park and it's guaranteed that eventually the obnoxious queue-jumpers are going to run into a ******* CM who's going to tell them where to get off. Like at Everest once when the teenaged gals claimed that they were looking for their families, the CM at loading made them stand at the end of the platform - "I can't let you get on without your families, so wait over there until they come back for you." :rotfl2:

It's actually quite sad that Disney doesn't provide enough security to handle the worst offenders. CM's and guests being cursed at, spit on and being intentionally shoved around is totally unacceptable. The "no speaky english" stuff when confronted is the icing on the cake. Sooner or later someone is going to be seriously assaulted in the parks by one of these visitors.

It won't be me though because I'm too bashful. ;)

Something to remember when dealing with unruly people is that they will most likely never pay for any damage they cause you. You may be correct in asserting your position in line but your cracked skull won't appreciate it.

Disney is hesitant to notify local law enforcement so even if they become involved and the suspect is arrested, the moment he makes bail he is fleeing the country. Never to be prosecuted; never to reimburse you. Meanwhile the (insert names here) will be celebrating Carnivale in Rio while you're still sipping strained peas.

I'd like to complain about your complaint about the popcorn:: emoticon. It is THE BEST, and your complaining is very biased against popcorn-eating, fun-loving message board users everywhere (except Brazil, where they also hate the popcorn emoticons). :snooty:

Before you offend half of the world, perhaps you should think about how you write things before you hit send...
The pot calling the kettle black right there

My kids also made up a song that went:
"We're a riff-raff family
From Riff Raff Lousyana
We got a paper we can't read
So we're leaving it to the high and mighty!"

Okay, that is hilarious! :lmao:

Favorite story I heard about a lost boy. Dad comes up to the boy screaming and hollering about staying with him etc. The kid who had not been crying or upset starts crying. He looks at the little guy and then realizes this is his son. It isn't his fault. He is the parent and that he should have been doing his job of parenting better. The dad gets down on his knees and says to his son " I am sorry. You didn't do anything wrong, I did. I wasn't watching you as closely as I should and I lost you. It is my fault not yours. Want to go get some ice cream?"

That's a great story! Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

Europeans and Asians seems like a huge generalization (Two full continents of diverse cultures). It contains so many groups of people. Quite honestly the Germans, British, and Asians I have encountered have been well behaved and civilized. In fact, more so than a lot of Americans you run across.

Our trip in 2000 in November I got my heels runover by a stroller and the woman looked at me and said I'm with the lady in the wheelchair I have to keep up. If she had said sorry I would have been fine... I know its sooo crowded and easy to get your heels ran over. All I wanted was a sorry :) I still have the scar on my heel.. thats okay.. its a disney wound I'll wear it proud :D

I have no problems with other countries except the flag waving one.

I have a relative in FL who said that the WDW or the U.S. Tourism told them if they wanted to visit us they'd have to follow rules (ques, possibly deodorant). For a while the parks didn't seem to have too many groups at all.

I'll take the cheerleaders, double dutch ropers and band kids over them any time.

This person wasn't rude to me, but he was very rude.....

Last time I was there I was walking to Big Thunder Mountain when I see a dad yelling at his 8 year old daughter in Italian or something because she had wandered off. The girl started crying and then her dad hit her right across the face. Then some onlookers rushed in to help the poor girl. It was a bad situation....

Well, an 8 yr old girl who wandered off deserved to be yelled at, and if she got slapped, maybe she said something smart alecky. Although I don't condone slapping across the face, I can understand his frustration, and it was none of the other people's business to butt in to "help" the girl unless the dad was beating her up right there. Think of the dad almost losing his baby in a foreign country in a theme park!!

I was at Animal Kingdom alone with my kids in May 2005 - hubby was working in Orlando that week so the kids and I tagged along to enjoy the parks while he worked. There was a steep walkway and the double stroller containing by 5 yo and 2 yo was hard to control. I accidentally bumped the heels of a guy in front of me and although I immediately apologized, he started screaming profanities at me in front of my kids. He was young, early 20's or so, but honestly I was ready to pop him one. Instead, I said "Hey, I apologized so take it or leave it and have a fabulous day!" I think that pissed him off even more. :rotfl2:
