Good morning everyone,
Well my parcel saga finally finished this morning at 8am when it finally arrived! I now know the stores and the delivery services phone numbers off by heart!

So what do you all have planned to do this weekend? We have our friends coming over for dinner tonight then tomorrow morning we are catching the train down to London. My parents are doing the same and we are meeting them there so go see Phantom of the Opera tomorrow night in the west end. It is a present for my mums 60th birthday. We have booked into a hotel and plan on taking my mum and dad for afternoon tea at Harrods. Then I think on Sunday we will go to some of the museums. Our hotel is right next to the British museum (my favourite one!!) so we will probably go there and the science museum which is my dads favourite. The we might pop to the palace to see the changing of the guards too if we have time.

Then on Monday I'm back to work (really don't want to go back!) and Pete has next week off for his mid term break.

Oh well, I should get back to my school planning. Have a good Friday everyone.

And now off to the gym to pay for those tacos last night!:guilty:

It's finally Friday!!!
I love Fridays!!!! :cool1:

Danauk - Sounds like you have a wonderful weekend planned!!! :goodvibes Have you seen Phantom of the Opera before? Are you seeing Andrew Lloyd Webber's version? I love Andrew Lloyd Webbers version - it is my favorite play ever!!!! :teeth: Have fun this weekend!!! :)

To everyone else - Hi there!! :wave2:

Well, I gotta run and make a grocery list - I'm venturing to the store today:)
Have a good Friday today everyone!!!!

Hi Slo I've seen Phantom a few times, both in the west end and when it was touring. It's one of my favourite shows.

Morning Taglikins!

I'm also very glad it's Friday. BUT another week has passed by without a weight loss. I suppose it could be because I DIDN"T EVEN TRY! :lmao: Gotta get my act together in this department. So this weekend I'm stocking the kitchen with food....I figure that may help (do ya think?). Gotta cut out eating EVERY meal out for the sake of my health and the CRUISE BUDGET!!

I don't have Monday (President's Day) off, officially, but all the agencies and our rep firm are closed, so I might take the day as a floating holiday. Haven't decided yet for sure. Sometimes it's nice to be at the office and get things cleaned up and caught up with no one bothering you! I guess I'll wait and see how much I get accomplished here this weekend and decide at the last minute (thankfully I have that option).

OK....off to check my cruise meets threads (I LOVE having TWO!) then gotta hit the shower.

You be careful out there...........

Morning..

DANAUK.. sounds like a great weekend. Tell you Mum happy Birthday..

Well I had to go downtown to work today.. UGH!! It is vry cold out. One place i passed on the train this morning said -7 and that was real temp, not wind chill temp BRRRRRR. Eric is off today and Geoff gets off at noon GRRRRR so here I sit.:surfweb: . backing up my 'puter on the network before starting work..

Last year at this time, Eric and i were at US/IOA and BG and breakfast with Cadsmom and Jordon before their cruise.. sigh.. and this year I am stuck going DT for a meeting :confused3

Talk to ya later

Morning Taglikins!

I'm also very glad it's Friday. BUT another week has passed by without a weight loss.

OK....off to check my cruise meets threads.
Me either! :rotfl: But I don't think I've gained this week either. I'll find out on Monday how I've done this last month. I have to do the yucky (sweet) GTT, but we're also getting a 3D/4D sonogram!!! :cool1: Can't wait to see Squirt again. This little one has been wiggling around tons lately, much more so than Ian ever did.

As for the cruise thread, I can't even keep up with ours. It's well over 22,000 posts now and moves soooooo fast. I think these people must not have lives or something. :confused3

Well, I kept Ian home from school for the first time. He woke about midnight or so having totally tossed his cookies all over himself and everything in his bed. Poor little guy was so freaked out - this is only the second time in two years that he's gotten sick like this. But this time I think it was just something he ate. Once I got him in the bathtub and cleaned up he seemed fine, happy and laughing. Ian wanted to sleep in this morning so I let him. Took his temp and it's quite normal. But with everything going around this time of year, I didn't want to take any chances of potentially passing something on to the others in his class. (And if it is something, he may have gotten it from the little boy that threw up in his class on Wednesday.) So we're just taking it quiet and easy today.

I had planned to go shopping for mat. clothes while Ian was in school. I realized I only own 3 mat. shirts and 3 mat. pants from when I was pg with Ian. (I didn't start wearing them until 7+ months with him.) Guess that'll have to wait until next week now.

On the bright side, there are people here working on the new rooms - FINALLY! Got a painter here to do touch ups and fix a few things. And the guys to put in the shoe-mold in my craft room are here, too. There's really not a huge amount to be done, just lots of little things (mostly) that take time. I can't wait to finally be done with contractors/subs coming through our house! And once I can set up the furniture in MY room, I can clear the room I've been using and finally set it up as a nursery for Squirt!

Enough rambling from me for now. TGIF!!!!

Hey all,

Wally you are slipping up...
lcharms.jpg

This image is great, but not your usual standard. The Leprecahn looks more like Alvin (and the Chipmonks) than Lucky... Then again if I had drawn it it would look like a stick figure (a Bad stick figure). The cereal does look rather tasty though... Seriously Wally, I thought you would want an honest critique, I think your work is really wonderful...

As far as Ian and being sick, well, I was woken up to him bathing and told to watch him. He is such a great little guy.

DanaUK, you asked what we are planning this weekend... Well, since we will be able to move stuff into the new section, I suppose we will be moving/building furniture...Plus a Dis-Meet, Plus a Birthday Party for Ian!!!!

:figment:

PS, we had a 401K meeting today. My entire office learning about Stocks and bonds... Quite funny...
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Morning everyone, I thought I would pop in before we head out to the train station in a minute to go to London. This is where I am glad we live quite close, our train journey taken an hour, my parents journey takes 3!

RRBB and Ohanafamily I hope you both have a great birthday party for Ian. Also I hope he is feeling better today.

Geffric I know what you mean about reminising about past trips, over Christmas I lost count of the times I used the phrase, this time last year!!

Oh well, I better go, we need to leave for the station. Have a great weekend everyone.

Wow....it is really snowing again here

So.....I think I'm going to stay in today, until it's time to go to church tonight:)

ibouncetoo - Don't cut out every meal, that's what slows your metabolism down. Just eat better meals and you'll start the weight loss :thumbsup2 At one time I lost alot of weight, and I always ate (I love to eat). I've gained 1/2that weight back since I had the girls, and I'm in the process of getting that weight off now. If you like frozen sweet things, I just bought these Edy's all fruit bars that have no fat in them - they look good. I also eat alot of sugar free Jello with fat free Cool Whip because I always like to have dessert after my meals - that's yummy too!!!! :goodvibes

geffric - Is it snowing by you?

RRBB and OF - I"m sorry that Ian isn't well:guilty: How is he today? Sending lots of PD his way:wizard:

TinkerTracy - Do have a winter break in Texas? Stephanie is on winter break yesterday till Monday.

Danauk - Have fun in London!!!! :cool1:

Well, I gotta go and start my day
Have a good Saturday everyone!!!

Ian slept most of the day, and felt great. He was a little tired, but no more tossed cookie problemmas.

See Y'all later.

:figment:

Greetings.. BAck from running around today and ready to settle in and do laundry :laundy: Eric is snowboarding at Chestnut this weekend and Geoff is home and working on a take home test in AP History.

We got some snow this am, not too much though. SLO how is the snow at your end? I just talked with my aunt on the south side and she said her parking lot isn't even plowed.

OF and RRBB glad Ian is feeling better today. Did you have a DIS meet today?

DANAUK.. Hope you have a great time in London..

I have President's Day off so I have a long weekedn.. Wondering what I should clean next? LOL

Come on down! I've got lots of sunshine and a very dirty house...help yourself!

Well, I think we FINALLY have made a decision on summer vacation. Chicago sister and I are going to Breckenridge for a week in August. We gave up on trying to exchange time share points through RCI and just booked the place we want ourselves and will just do six nights instead of eight. I'll be able to get great airfare to Denver ($140 round trip), so I had some $$ to allocate towards the room. Hopefully we'll get everything booked by mid-week. Guess I'd better get my taxes done...as that's where the $$ is coming from! :rolleyes1 We just have to decide if we're going for the regular type hotel room ($127) for six nights or the one-bedroom condo ($167) for five nights.

Hi friends!!! :wave2:

I've been busy all day doing stuff around the house

It feels so good having all this done, because now I can chill out tomorrow :teeth:

ohanafamily - I'm so glad that little Ian is feeling better. Give him a hug from me

geffric - The snow on this side of the lake wasn't to bad. It fell until about 10:30am and then the sun came out. I would say we had another 2 -3 inches :cold:

ibouncetoo - That sounds like a very nice summer vacation. Colorado is very beautiful in the summer time :)

Well, that about it from me tonight.
I hope you all have a good Saturday night
Oh...we rented The Guardian (Kevin Costner in the Coastguard)
I'll have to let you know what I thought of it.

Later gaters!!!

Not much going on here...NC B. is doing the :laundy: (he volunteered). :)

:wizard: PD for Ian!

Hi all, Ian is doing great, just the one episode.
Dad is still in the hospital, but he is getting better. He was looking a little pale, and he got another unit of blood and is feeling better. He will probably need a week in the PT wing after all of his down time, but he is definately on the mend.

PS, geffric, Dis meet is on Sunday...

:figment:

BTW, I posted this in another thread, I thought you all might find it reminiscent of Old Times... I was especially proud of my disection of the TAG FAIRY religion
------------------
In my tenure (on the CB) I have learned some secrets of the TAG FAIRY. I have personally been invloved with many polls to determine the preferences of said deity. I will share a few of the results. The TAG FAIRY is not one entity, there are several of them. Indeed, one would need extreme amounts of Pixie Dust just to monitor this thread alone.... Also, the TAG FAIRY can be bribed. We searched for the favorite chocolate, thinking Mars Bars as our initial guess, and in the poll, the TAG FAIRY closed it and gave several thousand votes to "Godiva chocolates wrapped in large denomination bills (Sponsor: A more practical Tag Fairy)"

The TAG FAIRY couldn't decide on a color, so Pink and Green were assigned.

Clapping Is a great way to attract the TAG FAIRY, but begging upsets them. Especially the male ones.

Favorite Song was determined to be "Everybody Has a Laughing Place", but there was no input from the TAG FAIRY at that time.

Once again, Begging is a big NO-NO.

They do have a form of religion. I have found that they all pay homage to the great God Pete. While Pete generally does not communicate directly, he has been known to pass threats through his High Priest "Alex". There was a time when Alex banished the TAG FAIRY for several months because of all of the begging going on. He is NOT to be trifled with.

I have also found that the Moderators seem to have some pull when it comes to enticing the TAG FAIRY out.

I hope this helps y'all!!!

Do you all know that WDW commercial where Cinderellas coach comes to a family's house when the parents realize they can afford a WDW vacation? It was just on, and Katie says to me, "I want Cinderella to come to my house" princess: It was cute!!! I wish I had it on video.

ohanafamily - I'm sorry to hear that your dad is still in the hospital :guilty: I will continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers :wizard:
**Thanks for posting that about the TAG FAIRY I've told many DISers myself to not be begging the
TAG FAIRY, but they never seem to understand why:confused3 There was a thread about 6 months ago that was discussing the TAG FAIRY, and the TAG FAIRY paid it a visit. This was when I received my Tonga Toast tag :goodvibes

Well, I gotta run and make some breakfast
Have a good day today everyone!!!
