I haven’t been going outside unless it’s absolutely necessary. For example, today I will have to put my trash can out at the curb and it’s not happening until after the sun goes down. I have been eating sandwiches and cold cereal instead of cooking, not doing anything that would generate extra heat in the house because the AC is working hard enough. It looks like we should start getting a break in the weather around Thursday.
For anyone in the parks, drink lots of water and supplement it with drinks containing electrolytes. Drink even if you don’t feel thirsty. You don’t want to get dehydrated and your body will need the electrolytes to function properly. Take that afternoon break to go back to the room, have a cool shower, and rest. If you can’t leave the park in the afternoon to go back to your hotel, take a break in one of the Disney resorts for a while. Have a late lunch at a resort restaurant and visit the shops. Plan for long, show style attractions during the hottest part of the day and stay away from outdoor queues in the afternoon.
It’s brutal out there, so stay safe!
