Extreme Cheapskates starts October 16th

I don't have cable so I won't be watching this, but after seeing some YouTubes of cheapskates who don't use toilet paper, I would say I would be skipping this show anyway! YUCK.

I refuse to watch.
Just watching the promo's turns my stomache.
Peeing in a jar and dumping it outside-that is just wrong and disgusting.

I'm extremely frugal but that's just gross.

The show is on now...and admittedly, some of the practices make my stomach turn. The first guy is truly extreme, but he and his wife run a nonprofit animal shelter that they pay for out of pocket. If that's how he funds his charity, then good for him.

The only part that I watched was the lady who dumster dived.....and I had to change the channel halfway through. It freaked me out a little bit! I have to say, something seemed very "off" about her. Like she has some sort of mental illness or was impaired in some way. It definitely seemed to go beyond simple frugalness.

um...yeah. we will pee a couple times before we flush the toilet but that's it...

i'm not eating goathead unless i have to
i am not gonna dumpster dive
and i'm not gonna steal from the local buffet. that's all YOU can eat...not all you and four others can eat.

i could be much more frugal but this is disgusting and qualifies as some sort of mental illness imo.

Who watched it? I just went to the website and watched some clips. The guy who lives in the old man's condo for free has roommates????? Is he renting out rooms or something? The roommates said they are embarrassed about the place.....so why do they live there?

Does he have an outside job?

i watched most of one show. some of the stuff ranged from just gross and miserly to down right dangerous. it was actually kinda sad watching someone who could have spent the day doing something nice, instead spend it digging for pennies and change in restaurant booths and filthy sidewalk cracks, so he could make a boiled goat head for an anniversary dinner even tho it was obvious the wife would have rather have just had something else.

The guy with the goat head was on the special they did before the actual show aired last night. Either way I'm still not watching it. Just the special alone made me .

The woman in NY that was dumpster diving for food for her guests made me want to throw up. Her reasoning behind the prepared dishes still being good was flawed. How long had those bags been sitting on the street? Was it a warm day outside? Things that fall below a certain temp are no longer safe to eat, especially things like chicken which she was picking up.

I wish the show would go into specifics of how much the people make a year and how much of that they spend/save.

I'm not gonna lie, I laughed when the guy showed his secret bank accounts with about $160,000 total lol. I would have never gone out to dinner with him when he payed in all change. I understand it's money, but I would be embarrassed

As usual it's an "extreme" show so it's not really about "reality". I simply don't get it, for me they spend so much time and energy "not" trying to spend money that money takes on way more importance in their life than is healthy.
