We are regular WDW goers…I am looking for something “extra” to do with my 10.5 year old daughter. I’m thinking of things like Droid Depot (she’s done that), pick a pearl (done as well). Anything kind of out of the ordinary that anyone can suggest. *EDIT* She is looking for more "souvenir" type activities rather than experiences, but I can still take any suggestion.

FYI: Up Close with Rhinos is very tough to get. I haven’t been able to get it trying many times (staying on site, but with only four days).

Rhinos you pretty much have to be online AT MIDNIGHT on your 60 day mark and put it as far into the trip as possible. It's super small - I want to say 10 people? - and only offered once per day.

I’ve pretty much given up on getting it.

Are you looking for unique activities in the parks or are you willing to hop resorts a little bit?

I got it as a solo on my upcoming trip by being online right at midnight when my booking window opened and putting it on my last day. I just used my refresh skills acquired from VQ days. But yeah - it's hard to get.

I am willing to go to resorts, we have a couple of down days. I was asking her and she is looking for more souvenir type things rather than experiences, but I am open to anything to run by her.

A personalized ring from the ring carvers, I believe there's kiosks in Epcot and at DS; glass art outside of Germany at Epcot--you design your piece and they mail it to your home; lightsaber at HS; make a Tron action figure at MK or an Avatar at AK; make a tiara at Arribas Bros. in MK.

Some resorts have activities, Contemporary and Coronado have a Mosaic class, AKL has a painting and Wilderness has a tray/key rack you can sign up to make. I am not sure about what other resorts may have.

My daughter enjoyed getting a kimono at Japan in Epcot. The cast member there was very helpful and helped her try on full-length traditional and shorter kimonos (she got the knee length one for her birthday).

We also love to do the silhouettes (I know MK has one in one of the alleys off main street, but we have always gone to Arribas Brothers at Disney Springs). I hear that they can even do profiles of your pet, but I have not done that yet. I also like that you get two and one can be a gift for a grandparent.

Pet silhouettes?! I so need to do this on our next trip! I had them done of my kids when they were little and it would be so cute to display our dog and cat as well. Hopefully they’ll cooperate to get a good side profile picture!

Several of the resorts have community halls with paid activities. Like ceramic painting, art type stuff. For instance we will be taking our 11 y.o. daughter to go make her own salt scrub at Boardwalk Community Hall. You can find the activities at the community halls here as well as other activities at the resorts.

Crystal Arts on Main St has build-your-own experiences! There's a "wish keeper" experience where you can fill a wand or other small glass container with crystals. I think the non-wand options are like Cinderella's glass slipper, a mickey mouse glove, and Aladdin's lamp. The experience of filling them with whatever colors or "dreams" you want is really cute. They also have a build-your-own tiara experience that looks like fun!
