I really don't understand the call for more European countries. I mean, I've heard, "Switzerland would be great!" Switzerland is surrounded by THREE countries that already have pavilions. What on earth would make Switzerland so unique that it deserves its own pavilion separate from Italy, France and Germany? (Hint: nothing. No offense to the Swiss.)
As for Greece, I think it would be architecturally stunning, but the food is what I question. At Boardwalk, the only Greek restaurant on property is closing for whatever reason. But I don't ever remember any threads discussing how early you have to wake up on 180th day from your trip to make a reservation at Kouzzina. So if no one wanted the Greek food then, why would it draw people now?
Finally, I think World Showcase as a whole should NOT ever have any rides that are remotely thrilling. That should be saved for Future World. We all bemoan the apparent homogenization of WDW, yet we want all the lands and parks to have the same types of rides. I think, leave WS alone. If you have a new pavilion, add a dark ride like Maelstrom.... a few minor drops and some scenery. Otherwise, WS should be about the shows, the food, the architecture, the CMs, etc... And no, I don't care that some 4 year old might find it boring. They have Fantasyland. And low-brow people who just want thrills at any cost can hopefully someday get their fix in Future World.
In summation, I apologize for the tone of today's rant. I haven't had my coffee yet, basically just woke up because I'm still on Hawaii time, and haven't slept well in a week.
