Extra people (infants) on DVC booking now not going on trip? Does it matter?

I suspect it's not a big deal, but just want to make sure.

We're a family of 6, planning a stay in early 2022 at VGF in a 2 bed villa. Grandma has decided she's going to come and stay at our home with the 2 youngest kids (twins who will be just over a year old) rather than join on the trip. DVC reservation was made through friends' points and when they made it, they included the babies. Does it matter if their names are in the traveling party? Do I need to have our friends edit the reservation?

You can leave them on if your friend doesn't feel like trying to do MS chat to take them off.

No problem having them on but they could just be removed online if your friend doesn't have a problem with that.

They don't have to do chat, although chat worked fine for me yesterday afternoon to add requests.

To drop someone from the reservation, they can go online and modify the reservation, only don't modify dates or resort, modify guests. Takes about 5 minutes. Also, that way, in case of an unforeseen emergency at the resort, first responders would not be looking for your infants.

Or you could just stop at the front desk after you arrive and ask the CM to remove the infants then. IMO, it's nothing to worry about now.

As long as the Primary guest doesn't change. I've added guests that way before. I would assume you can delete as well.

Correct. You can add/delete any guest except for the primary one. You can't change a name to correct spelling, that requires a delete & re-add.
