Extra motel fees?? Do they charge for the use of the inroom safe?

Can anyone tell me if they charge for the use of the in room safe and to use the internet? What little things do they charge for? And how weird would it be to ask that the minibar be emptied out before we got our room so as not to tempt the kidlets?

The Universal resorts dont charge to use the room safe. The minibar is closed and locked with a key. At check in dont take the key. I/m not sure about the internet.

If you are not staying at Club Level, you will be charged for the internet. If you are not a Lowes First Member, you will be charged for use of the gym. Everyone is charged for the parking. The mini-bar is locked and when I stay, I tell them that I do not even want access to the key! If I remember correctly, there are also water bottles in the room as well, if you drink them, you will be billed for them. Coffee, newspaper & safe are free.

no charge for use of the wall safe at all 3 universal on site hotels.
