extra magic hours- downtown disney hotels?

I will be staying at the downtown Disney (Disney Springs) Hilton and they say you can use the extra magic hours. How does this work in the park when they are scanning wristbands? Do I just show a room key or is there a different system for them?

They no longer offer EMH at any DTD hotel. If this is important you will need to book a Disney resort or the Swan/Dolphin.
