Extra Magic Hours but No Hopping

I've read on the boards that extra magic hours are worth it, but they all add that you should "hop to another park later".
I don't want to spend an extra 250 dollars on park hopping, so if we did the extra magic hours, we'd stay at that park all day. Would you suggest going to the extra magic hours in August? We would only be there six days or so...

Thanks!

I"m not entirely sure what you are asking, your grammer is a bit confusing. But this is what I think you want to know.
Park Hopper is always worth it, at least IMHO. We don't spend even half a day at AK, or MGM, and like to eat at EPCOT several times per trip. EMH are pretty good, depending on the park (MK great, EPCOT not so much).
Don't rely on EMH, and go with park hopper, it's only $35 extra per ticket.

During our late May, July/Aug, and October trips this past year, we found that EMH was NOT worth getting up early or staying late...the crowds were just too large. Additionally, the parks with EMH stayed very, very busy throughout the day. Then, during our Christmas trip, we found that neither morning nor evening EMH were well attended. Perhaps this was because families were wanting to spend more time together in their rooms or off shopping. I don't know, but I'm glad we gave EMH another try.

So, to answer your question...start with your basic ticket and give your EMH strategy a try. It will either work for you or you will have to make a new plan. If attending EMH doesn't work, try going to a non-EMH park the next day or up-grade your tickets to park hopping privileges.

Personally, I don't like to stay in one park ALL day. We always hop, sometimes visiting 3 parks a day!

Regarding the park hopping. I looked at the price of tickets thru Ticketmania and the 10 day non-parkhopping is cheaper than with the I think 7 day parkhopping if I am not mistaking also included is the expiry option. So what I am planning for our August Trip is to order the 10 day expiry non-parkhopping ticket. Then what I figure we will do at least 6 days in the parks and then a day at a water park. If I want to parkhop to another park one or two days, I will use the days that will expire anyways. It is cheaper if you look at it that way. I can't wait. Now I have to sit down and figure where we are going when as they have August dates out with the EE info. :cool1:   :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :bounce:

Kelly...just so you know WDW does not allow what you are planning. You can not use an extra day from your ticket to hop, you do need the hopper option.
Sorry.

Just fyi this won't be allowed. As you have realized the daily admission price decreases substantially with the number of days. WDW will not allow you to use the same ticket to enter two different theme parks on the same day unless you have the hopper option. The tickets are valid for the number of days you purchased vs a number of park visits. Once you used a MYW pass at any theme park you can't use it at another theme park on the same day - unless you have the hopper feature.

To the OP - we love the early morning EMH's but we do find that the park with the EE does get more crowded during those days. I would try a few days without the hopper and then add it if you find you need it. You can just add on the hopper option any time within the 14 days. If a park becomes crowded and has evening EMH's you could always do a resort break for a swim and return for the evening EMH's.
