We always have extra food that we haven't had a chance to eat. We usually just leave it in the cabins. Any have any other idea's? Like an easy to get to food bank or does Disney donate it? Or does the house keeping need it?
We've been seasonal in a camping resort. There are nightly camping sights across from us. Sometimes if we know we aren't going to be back for while, we will offer the food to the campers. Say if we have a dozen eggs, or a pack of un-opened hot dogs, or a half gal. of milk. Rather than worry about it going bad in the trailer, or keeping it cold on the way home. Figure if someone can use it, at least it won't go to waste. We also offer to our neighbors on either side of us, who are seasonal as well. You might ask campers in the cabins close to you if they could use it?
"Mousekeeping" just throws it away. You might want to do as Phyllis suggests and see if a near-by camper can use anything.
Hmmmm....that gives me an idea!!! I can go to FtW on Sunday mornings, stand in a place where all guest checking out will see me, have a big cooler with a sign that says "I Will Take Your Leftover Food" and take everyone's leftovers!! I wouldn't ever have to grocery shop again!

I actually tried to give a six pack of beer away on our last trip along with a case of bottled water. I approached one camper that was sitting outside with his family and he looked at me like i had three heads. I then found a nice guy in a site next to the comfort station and he was more than happy to take the beer and the water for his kids.
We give away anything that is unopened. we have always found takers. yes, we get some looks, but for the most part campers are willing to take on free grub.
