You guys, it’s October 1, and other than flight of passage and slinky dog (which are still really low!), today’s waits still look like they did in early September.

And today is a party date. I was thinking we might be seeing some type of pattern with party dates leading to extended waits at HS and AK but today is running counter to that. Maybe it's a Tuesday party thing vs. a weekend party thing? Need more data!

I just wanted to give @CastAStone a shoutout for all the awesome work you've been doing here! We head out on Saturday for a week at WDW, and these updates are incredibly helpful in motivating me to try and get up two and a half hours earlier than I normally would on a workday to get into the parks early. Hopefully the magic of Disney and copious amounts of caffeine will get us through some of these EEMH mornings!

Agreed!

The only things open are rides, so the rest of the park is TOT, RNR, and ST. If you had RD SDD, then TSM then AS2 then MFSR, then TOT, RNR, and finally ST, you’d have waited (according to posted waits) about 110 minutes total, and you finish right around 9

If you did TOT, then RNR, then ST, then SDD, then TSM, then AS2, then MFSR, you’d have waited (again, according to posted waits) about 180 minutes total, and you’d have finished right around 10.

Today was really busy for EEMH at DHS, but the pattern should hold regardless. Star Tours and ToT will still be very low waits the first hour after park opens to all. TOT and RNR FPs will be available for most of the day.

Do TSL first, then SWGE.

Thanks again. We will likely be doing two EEMH at DHS, but probably not arriving at 6 a.m. The current plan is to do the "rest of the park" (everything but TSL and GE) at 9 a.m., to take a contrarian approach when the rope drop herd heads to the two newest lands.

For those visiting Columbus Day week (and I think there are many on this thread), I went to touring plans to see what’s been posted - and it looks like expected crowd levels have dropped. I usually get an email update - but maybe it’s just happened?

Edited to add - got the email from TP about two hours later. 👍🏻

Wow. Today has very low waits in HS. Perhaps lowest it’s ever been?

645am
MFSR - 15min
SDD - 10min
Everything else is 5min

At 7:30 still only 25 minutes for both MFSR and SDD. Lowest of any of the days that I have followed (and that’s most of them). No apparent weather issues affecting crowds either.

Actually when you do SWGE probably isn’t that important. The above is the Critical advice.

This is what I’m seeing too; doing TSL first (and especially SDD) is the main thing. The wait time for MFSR doesn’t seem to change much between 7 and just before 9.

We’re thinking about TSL first, then RNRC and TOT, then MFSR. That way we can stroll around Batuu for awhile after riding MFSR. It’s a little more walking, but the walking should be in a largely empty park.

It's been an amazing morning! Hopped on a bus at Pop at 5:38 and arrived at the gate at 5:45, walked through the turnstiles and was lined up by 5:50.
Walked back right at 6 and didn't stop waking until I was at the loading platform for SDD off at 6:18, walked into TSM with almost no one else on the ride, off again at 6:28. Walked to ToT just as it went down so went to RRC where I walked into the next train and was off by 6:45. I headed to Batuu at that point because SR was posted as 15 minute wait. I took a leisurely walk checking out Batuu before getting in line. We didn't stop until Hondo and then we were assigned our roles and right on. I grabbed blue milk and again walked slowly through the land, through TSL and back to ToT because it was up. Walked right onto ToT at 7:30 and now here I am during on a bench looking at Echo lake wondering what to do because I thought this would take me until 9!

Thanks for the report. This is exactly what we hope to do on our trip, which is now less than 3 weeks away.

Are they more likely to grant pilot requests for SR during emh when the line isn’t long?

I think your best bet is going to be late at night, that's when the line is by far the shortest. 2 weeks ago they didn't even put engineers in with my group of 4.

I just checked - the waits were among the lowest of the week at DHS on all of the Wednesdays that I've tracked (except the Wednesday they opened SDD at 7:30 to do some filming - that screwed everything up).

NEW ADVICE: Go to EEMH at DHS on Wednesday.

Magic Kingdom 10:1

Yesterday we were at the bus stop at Sports at 6:15. Bus came at 6:30. Got thru bag check and entrance right at 7. Headed to SM and boys rode twice while dh and I drank coffee. Boys then rode cars (major time suck but they wanted to do it once.) Then we did Buzz and Pooh. Got on HM right at 8. Headed to Pirates, Splash, watched the muppets, and shopped at Christmas store before our CP ADR. Did Small world, used FP for 7DMT, and jungle cruise,, saw Philharmagic before leaving for Epcot around 1. We had a FP for Splash but cancelled it fo to being able to walk on earlier.

Slept in today and now on bus to Epcot.

Planning for opening at HS tomorrow and MK Friday. I’ll let you know how it is.

Woo-hoo! We are going there next Wednesday! Looking forward to it!
