How many minutes walking distance to Swan and Dolphin from DHS?

Another question: is it usually slow to use the busses to hop from one park to another?

It’s about 10 to 15 minutes. It’s not a bad walk.

And yes, park to park buses are terribly slow. We waited 45 minutes for one from Magic Kingdom to Animal Kingdom last September. It was a horrible bus ride, too. Crazy kids climbing the poles and winging from them while the bus was in motion and parents not caring. I won’t do it again. We did Lyft or Minnie Van after that when going park to park.

Yes, we got to Baseline between 10;20 and 10:30, am there were already two or three groups outside having drinks.

Earlier I had asked a CM when the characters would be out. She told me close to regular park opening. A little after 7am the Toy Story gang all walked out.

As another poster said, it’s about 10-15 minutes, obviously depending on your walking pace. If I was going to do it I would look to see if there was a boat at or approaching the DHS dock and walk if there isn’t a boat in sight.

Our experience with park to park buses hasn’t been that bad, but early in the morning they may be less frequent because not many people are changing parks that early. Once it gets to noon the buses seem to be much more regular as they seem to be operating on a continuous loop.

MK 10/4

Got a bit later start this morning. A 6 am flight and 4 EEMH this week makes for a tired family. This was our third time to MK this week, so wanted to ride some favorites again.

Got to bus stop at 6:30 at Sports. The bus was there. We then picked up people at movies and music. On Main Street at 7:10. We had not done Castle pics yet, so got those first. We all rode SM, then the boys rode again while dh and I got coffee.

Rode small world, haunted mansion, jungle cruise, and pirates. Splash was down, and I was bummed. This is my favorite and I really wanted to ride it again. We got a pretzel and sat down by the ride. As we were finishing, they started running the water. We walked over there and about 15 minutes later they opened it. Rode as walk on, and it was showing a 60 minute wait when we got off.

DS12 isn’t feeling great as this point but asked to get a Dole Whip. Dh rode BTM with ds10 while we walked to get the snack.

We all rode PP with a FP, then Ariel, and Dumbo with a FP. I took ds 10 in to meet Donald and Goofy. DS12 is still not felling well, so we went over to People Mover to kill time.

Funny enough, this was our longest wait all morning at about 15 minutes. They kept closing the moving walkway up to guests.

We had a 12:45 BOG ADR, so we ate and left, as ds is running a fever by now. BTM and Splash were both down when we left about 2.

On the bus back now.

We leave tomorrow, and it was a great week. Have a total of about 135,000 steps. Great weather, and wait times much lower than expected. I would love to always have the option of EEMH.

If we are staying at the beach club, and want to take skyliner from IG to Hollywood Studios will it be open? We are thinking of leaving around 530am

we planned to use ferry but skyliner sounds more fun and might be quicker?

I don’t think the Epcot line opens that early. Even if you go later in the day when it’s open, I don’t think it would be quicker unless you ran into a very long wait for the ferry at YC/BC. Walking would be quicker too.

Day 1 success. Can’t believe how dead MK was this morning and we didn’t even get to fully maximize the EEMH time since we had to transfer from Hampton to drop our bags at Boardwalk. Got to MK around 730 and had done everything we wanted by 10. It felt like no one was even in the park until after 9.

Looking forward to whatever tomorrow morning brings at DHS!

How is the same day FP availability at DHS lately? I changed our plans to spend all day there on our first day, a Wednesday. At this short notice, I could only get TOT at 11:00 as our Tier One. The rest of the day, will be able to get lots of TOT, RnR, and (dare I hope) even TSM?

Everything but SDD is easy for me to get day of now, party of 1 or 2, persistent refresher. Though I don’t really pay attention to RnR as I don’t ride it. Schedule your tier twos back to back first thing in the morning so you can start picking up more fp early in the day.

When you walked in at 5:30, did you happen to notice if any CMs were working the ticket booths yet? We will need to activate our APs on our HS EEMH morning and I want to be as early as possible.

If at all possible try to do it the night before. It may be my bad luck but everytime we activate our APs the person in front of us has some issue that takes 20-30 minutes to resolve.
