Hello!
We leave for WDW on Tuesday! We get in late morning Tuesday and leave in the evening Saturday. We have a 2 year old DD (2 years and 10 months, to be exact) traveling with us. This is not the first trip for any of us (this will be DD third time), so we by no means feel the need to go commando. We will be back in Jan too (my parents are building a house near by!!!).
We originally planned on arriving to WL Tuesday, just hanging out (maybe DD would nap), or swimming, having dinner at Whispering Canyon at 7 and then turning in early for a good nights sleep. My brother lives about 20 mins away, so he is planning on joining us for dinner.
Here is how we planned to do the parks:
Wed: MK all day. No plans or ressies, just let DD lead the way and do what she wants at a relaxed pace.
Thurs: Character breakfast at AK, hang out there until DD get tired. Then head over to MK in the evening for the electrical parade.
Fri: Let DD sleep in (sleeping in is until 9) then head over to MK. Epcot in the late afternoon/evening depending if DD naps. We have the princess dinner booked at Epcot for 8 p.m
Sat: Hang out with my brother, who lives locally, at DTD or the hotel. Depart for airport at 4.
Well, when we went to purchase 3 day hoppers last night (on a discount site) we discovered the 5 day hopper is CHEAPER! Yes, it was actually listed right below the 3 day at a lower price (it's a 4 day, with the 5th day free).
Soooo, we bought the 5 day, figuring even if we don't use the 2 "extra" days, we still save $. But let's be honest, I can't have a ticket in hand and not use it...even if it's only for a couple of hours. We are thinking of stopping over to MK when we get there Tues. We would still need to be back at WL to meet my brother for dinner at 7. So, we might get 2 or 3 hours in at the park. This will be DD first trip where she actually KNOWS who the princesses are and is into the castle and what not. Do you think it will be too much to add the park on Tues? OR should we keep it low key and just save all the excitement for Wed? I am nervous she will be too wound up on Tues to sleep...making her tired and crabby the rest of the week (or as the week goes on). My hubs says, lets just go and then we can nap later in the week and not feel bad. I am on the fence...
Sat we decided to take advantage of EMH at HS and just go over early (meet Sophia) and be back to hang out with my brother for lunch around noon (he isn't a morning person, so he wouldn't be over earlier anyway).
Anyway, thoughts about the Tuesday plan or anything else?
