Hi! Just a quick question about the Royal Pacific, Has anyone taken their own cot or air matress in instead of paying for a rollaway? I was just curious if that was okay to do. There would be four of us us, but ds will be 15 and not susre how comfortable we will be with two people in their beds. Thanks

When I made my reservation at the HRH the reservationist said that people bringing sleeping bags or air mattresses was common and not discouraged.

Thanks- I wasn't sure if they allowed the air matress. Have you been at RP yet? I just wondered if there is room for an air matress. :)

I have never stayed at any Universal Resort. I've never been to Universal in my life. Maybe someone who's been can help you.

I am only telling you what the reservation guy told me.

Good Luck,

Joanne

There is room for an air mattress but you will have to rearrange the chair by the window a bit.

Thanks Damo, I was trying to judge by looking at pictures and I wasn't sure. I do appreciate the information. :)

No problem. We were there a couple of weeks ago. There was plenty of room for a twin air mattress over beside the window. You may have to put the mattress up and put the chair back every day because it is a little tight.

Not sure if it was a fluke, but I got the rollaway bed comped. When I called I asked for a room with two bed at RPR and was told that a king room was all that was available. She said that I could have a rollaway. When she told me the extra charge, I said thanks anyway and was prepared to hang up without making a reservation. She then offered to comp the rollaway.

We will be 3 adults and 2 little girls (although one of the kids will be 11 so therefore an "adult" in prices). We will stay only 2 nights to take advantage of the express lines and do HP early.
Can we do one standard 2 queen room in the Royal Pacific or Hard Rock? Which one has larger standard rooms, my guess is Hard Rock? I know a rollaway bed is $25 per day but there was some fine print about extra payment for an extra adult. Would that both me and my 11 year old niece? Or just me as a real "adult"? Does anyone know how much they charge for the extra adult?
Thanks very much!

Adult is 18 at Universal. Everyone under 18 is a child.

There is an extra charge of $25 for a third adult aged 18 and up.

You can have two adults and 3 children without any extra charges.

I called for the 2011 prices and was told that they prefer we take the Hard Rock over the Royal Pacific for the rollaway because it is a much bigger standard room. HR at 375 sq ft and RP at 335. You might want to consider the size of the room before using the blow up bed in RP.

We only have a full size (so it says..but seems a little short) air mattress. Will it be possible to use it in RPR? I would prefer not to have the extra cost of rollaway bed. Thanks!

I don't think there is room for a full size. There would be room for a twin size air mattress. Perhaps you can borrow one from a friend.
